We have found that through sharing your joys and sharing your struggles with others, you relieve stress, you enjoy your day more, you just feel better. At KW CrossFit, we also believe that our talents

and assets can be used to better the lives of not only ourselves, but also of those who are less fortunate. The CrossFit Community is known for its “giving back.” There are large, global benefits throughout the year for different causes, such as “Barbells for Boobs” that raises money for breast cancer. There are also smaller, more local benefits. For example, KW Crossfit is committed to a project where the owners are building a school and community center in rural Haiti. At KW Crossfit, we are committed to giving back to the larger community, and we encourage our members to educate each other and the management at KW CrossFit about different causes to support. KW Crossfit recognizes that the needs of an 80 year old person, a child, a fireman, a stay-at-home parent, or a working individual are all different, but we believe there are no excuses. EVERYONE can do CrossFit…yes EVERYONE. Regardless of age, gender, or body type, CrossFit is infinitely scalable. Thus, everyone can and will do the same workout – it may just be a little different for some folks.

What are your kids doing to stay active this summer?

With school out and routines changing, now is the perfect time to keep your kids moving, building confidence, making friends, and having fun in a positive environment.

Our CrossFit Kids program helps children develop strength, coordination, athleticism, teamwork, and healthy habits that can last a lifetime, all while having a blast!

📅 CrossFit Kids Schedule:

🥵 It’s HOT out there! ☀️

Are you staying hydrated? 💧

When temperatures rise, your body loses more than just water through sweat. You’re also losing important electrolytes like sodium, potassium, and magnesium that help regulate muscle function, energy levels, and overall performance.

Signs you may need to focus more on hydration and electrolytes:
✅ Headaches
✅ Muscle cramps
✅ Fatigue
✅ Dizziness
✅ Decreased workout performance

A few simple tips:
💧 Drink water consistently throughout the day
🧂 Don’t be afraid to replenish electrolytes, especially if you’re active or sweating heavily
🥩 Eat nutrient-dense foods that naturally contain minerals
🏃 Increase your intake on workout days and during outdoor activities

Don’t wait until you’re thirsty. Make hydration a priority before, during, and after your workouts.

🎉 Exciting News at KW CrossFit! 🎉

I'm excited to announce not one, but two new coaches joining our coaching team!

Many of you already know Annie and Deidre because they've been familiar faces working out right alongside all of you for years. They have both been valued members of our community, bringing positive energy, encouragement, and plenty of smiles to the gym every day.

Annie and Deidre have been a staple in our community through their dedication to fitness, willingness to support others, and their fun-loving personalities. Annie will be taking over our Thursday evening classes, and we're excited for her to take this next step in her journey. Deidre is one of our amazing CrossFit Kids coaches. She has done a fantastic job helping our younger athletes build confidence, learn new skills, and have fun while staying active. We're excited to see them continue to grow in their new coaching roles within our community.

Both Annie and Deidre embody what KW CrossFit is all about: community, encouragement, hard work, and helping others become the best version of themselves.

When you see them in the gym, be sure to congratulate them and give them a warm KW CrossFit welcome! 👏💪

When people think about fitness success, they often focus on things like motivation, meal plans, supplements, workout programs, or the latest fitness trends.

But the truth is, none of those things matter if you don't consistently show up.

Showing up is the most underrated skill in fitness.

Not because it's flashy. Not because it's exciting.

But because it's the one habit that makes everything else possible.
