All proceeds will be donated to Friends of Patapsco Valley State Park to support our local trail system. A short track race will be hosted May 5th, May 12th, May 19th, and May 26th. There is one rain-date, June 2nd. Short-track racing is a mass-start event racing as many laps as possible in a set time frame on a short race track. Race times are as follows: Registration starts at 4:00PM
Race 1 (Juniors) 5:15 PM- 30 min race
Race 2 (Beginner/15-18) 5:45 PM- 45 min race
Race 3 (Sport/Expert) 6:30 PM- 60 min race
Podiums will be shortly after the last race. Sign up for all four races for $90 or each race individually for $25. Day-of registration is $35 and is cash only! All juniors (anyone under 18) can register for all four races for $30 or each race individually for $10. Day-of registration for juniors is $15. The race entry includes your day of gate entry fee. Post-race pizza, water, and beer (for anyone over 21 years of age- ID required) are included with your entry. Additional food for spectators is on option for those who pre-register only, the option is on Bikereg. Please note: No dogs are allowed in the Pickall section of the Patapsco Valley State Park. Please leave your furry friends at home! Patapsco Valley State Park is pack in pack out for all trash. There are NO trash cans at, please plan ahead and carefully consider what you bring to the event. Please bring a container for beverages! The Patapsco Valley State Park trail system is a highly technical trail system, with steep grades, stream and river crossings, and plenty of roots and rocks! Casual users are routinely surprised by the difficulty and backcountry feel. Please register for events that will be challenging for you, AND bring you back to event HQ
with a smile on your face. Know your limits and always participate within your abilities! The course will be marked with arrows and flagging tap. For the road crossings, we will have course marshals. Please be careful driving into the park as the race will cross the road!! If we have to cancel the race due to weather, we post that information as soon as we know. This is dictated by the park to protect our trails. The information will be on this page and emailed out to participants who have signed up via Bike Reg. On Thursday's starting at 2pm, the Pickall Section of the Patapsco Valley State Park is open to all trail users. Anyone entering is required to pay the standard gate fee.
