RIP Wally Johnston. You were more than just part of the racing community you were someone who left a mark on everyone around you. The memories, the time on the water, and the passion you brought will never be forgotten.

Congratulations to JJW Racing drivers Haley Rae and Kip Brown on their induction into the APBA Hall of Champions!

Haley Rae had an outstanding season in the 1.5 Stock class T-3 , winning 17 of 22 heats. She captured titles at the Western Divisionals, Summer Nationals, and earned the 2025 National High Points Championship a truly dominant year on the water. This will be Haley’s first Hall of Champion’s induction.

Kip Brown also delivered an exceptional season, competing in the E350 class E-20/E-3. He won 13 of 18 heats, claimed victories at the Summer Nationals, and took the Western Divisionals title in the E-3. Kip also secured a Summer Nationals win driving Gary Hanson’s SE-22. This will be Kip’s first induction into the Hall of Champion’s also.

An incredible achievement for both drivers and the entire JJW Racing team! 🏆🚤

Haley Rae had another perfect weekend in Brewster, scoring 400 points and taking the overall win. With that, Haley locked up the 2025 National Championship in 1.5 Stock driving the T-3 JJW Racing. Unfortunately, there was only one other E-350 on hand, so Kip was able to get some valuable testing time in the JJW Racing E-3 (E-20) this weekend.

Tri-Cities Update – 1.5 Stock Class

Haley Rae was unable to compete today in Tri-Cities due to a work conflict. Stepping up in her place, Katie Brown took the wheel of the T-3 and delivered a fantastic performance—winning both heats in the 1.5 Stock class! Huge congratulations to Katie on a job well done! 👏

Haley Rae will be back in the seat for the rest of the weekend. Stay tuned for more exciting racing action!

Richland Park Race Weekend Recap

The JJW Team wrapped up a strong weekend of racing at Richland Park with impressive performances across all classes.

Haley Rae (T-3)
Haley dominated in the T-3, winning Saturday’s heat and finishing 2nd in the final. She came back even stronger on Sunday with two 1st place finishes, securing the overall weekend win.

Katie Brown (Y-9)
Katie was unstoppable on Saturday, winning both heats. On Sunday, she added a 1st and a 2nd place finish in the final to clinch the overall win for the weekend in the Y-9.

Kip Brown (E-20)
Kip had a consistent Saturday with two 2nd place finishes. On Sunday, he won the qualifier and was leading the final when a red flag ended the race early. With the final not re-run, Kip earned the overall weekend win in E-20.

Jeff Bernard (E-3)
Jeff had a strong Saturday, sweeping both heats. Sunday brought challenges: while leading in the first heat, a motor failure resulted in a DNF. The JJW team jumped into action, replacing the motor in time for the final. Jeff and Kip were battling hard for the lead until lap two, when Jeff flat-spun in turn 1, bringing out the red flag. Thankfully, both Jeff and the boat are okay.

The JJW Team now heads back to the shop to prep for the Summer Nationals at Black Lake. Onward!

Richland JJW team having a nice dinner together with a lot laughs. Unfortunately today we were only able to get one heat of 1.5 stock in and 1 litre for our team. Haley Rae won in the T-3 and Katie Brown won in the Y-9. Tomorrow will be a busy day 4 heats with the 350’s and 3 heats with the 1.5 and 1 Litre.
