Dear FlyDog Family,
For eighteen years, I have had the honor of flying our FlyDog flags at every event we’ve shown up to — at Petpalooza, the Museum of Flight, the Huskies and Storm games, tournaments from BC down to Oregon, and every gathering in between. Each flag carries a name. Each name carries a story. And each story is a piece of what makes this club the extraordinary community it is.
🐾 When I look at those flags snapping in the wind, I don’t just see fabric. I see dogs charging down the lane, tails wagging at the start line, handlers whispering encouragement into furry ears. I see all the early mornings, the long drives, the cheers, the tears, the treats, and the tennis balls. I see every single one of you, and every single one of them.
🐾 So many of our FlyDogs have retired into well-earned naps on the couch, and so many more have crossed the rainbow bridge, leaving paw prints on our hearts that will never fade. I have run out of room to fly all of our flags — and I cannot think of a more fitting tribute than sending each flag home to the family it belongs to.
🐾 This flag is yours. It flew proudly, again and again, because your FlyDog earned every stitch of it. Whether it hangs in your garage, your living room, or out in your yard on the days you want to remember, I hope it brings you the same warmth it has brought me all these years.
I was heart warmed by the outreach of so many of you wanting your flag - I teared up with each envelope prepared.
Thank you for showing up, for believing in “All Breeds, All Speeds,” for trusting us with your dogs, and for being part of something so much bigger than a sport. This year we may fly fewer flags, but you and your FlyDog will always be part of this club’s heart.
With all my love and gratitude,
Tammy Foss
