The very first Meeting was held at the Henderson Town Hall on No

v 7, 1974. At one time the club was 149 family members strong. Kenny Olson and Al Johnson worked hard to start the trail system that we still have today. At the Jan. 1979 meeting trail masters reported the trails were closed due to too much snow on the trails. The snowmobile safety class began in 1977.

More spoils of our EPIC winter fundraising!! Due to the great success of our Music Trivia Night and our Radar Run, we were also able to make donations to the Williamsfield Area Food Pantry and Resource Center and the Alwood Food Pantry. We want to make sure we give back to our community as much as we are able every year.

More Trip Talk, Eh!! Mike & Sheri Dennis are up next! They also got to take a couple FUN trips this year and sent us their stories!

January ended with a bang when the attended the ACSA (American Council of Snowmobile Associations) ride from the 29-31st at the Northern Waters Casino Resort in Watersmeet, MI.
"Thursday we rode to bond falls and took a few pictures. We had a late start on Friday, but Saturday we rode to Bents Camp for an afternoon lunch after the ACSA meeting.
We got to ride with a guy named Mike Kieth, who is the Polaris ambassador. We took his picture and he took ours at Bond Falls. He shared some great stories about his own snowmobile trips over the years. It was a great weekend!"

"Our 2nd trip the last weekend of February we rode just under a couple hundred miles Friday and Saturday in the Mercer, WI area and stayed at The Great Northern Hotel. Friday we rode to a couple familiar stops like Beaver's Resort, Willys Still, and Lipsky's in Upson. Then went up to Ironwood for gas and back down the grade to Mercer. 40 some degrees on Friday and trails were still very good. Saturday was cold at about 15, and trails south and east weren't too bad. Lunch at Bolder Beer Bar was good, and made a big loop back to the the hotel. Already planning a week for next year. Maybe around Newberry!!"

Thanks for the great stories guys!

Anyone have any recommendations around the Newberry area for them next season? Comment below!!
