Congrats to Varsity as they squeezed by Monroe HS and got themselves into the District Final. This Sarurday, they'll go up against Esdel Ford, a strong league opponent we already battled this season. Yesterday evening, EF beat Bedford 2-1.
We now must continue to work hard and concentrate on obtaining the District title. Go Warriors!

Hello all:

The following is the schedule for our program for the week of 5/1/23.

MONDAY 5/1:
Plymouth Christian & Southgate visit WHS
JV kickoff is at 4:30PM vs Plymouth Christian
VAR kickoff is at 6:00PM vs Southgate
Note: The halftime celebrations for each game are cancelled due to the forecasted weather. (see Thursday's schedule)
Note: Ball girls consisting of Emma Greer and her club teammates have volunteered to do so for the Varsity match.

TUESDAY 5/2 & WEDNESDAY 5/3:
VAR & JV practice at the new training field 5:00PM to 7:00PM

THURSDAY 5/4:
Grosse Ile visits WHS
JV kickoff is at 4:30PM
VAR kickoff is at 6:00PM
Note: JV parents/guardians will be celebrated at halftime during the JV match. Seniors and their parents/guardians will be celebrated at halftime during the Varsity match.

FRIDAY 5/5:
No activity

SATURDAY 5/6:
Varsity heads to Concordia College for the Cardinal HS Showcase Tournament
Field address: Ferry Field at Cardinal Stadium (283 Earhart Rd, Ann Arbor, MI 48105).
There will be an admission charge for spectators of $5 for teens and adults. Senior citizens and children under 12 will be free. Your admission will cover the entire day. There will be a fully stocked concession stand on site. Food tents are allowed in designated areas. Concordia University Ann Arbor is a to***co and alcohol-free environment, and strict enforcement of this policy will be in effect. Further, NO dogs and other pets are allowed at the soccer complex.

Each team will play everyone once for a total of three matches. Each match will be two (2) 30-minute halves with a 5-minute half time (see schedule below). 10 minutes warmup in between games. If the game ends in a tie, NO SHOOTOUTS to avoid further delays.

Parents/Guardians: We need volunteers to coordinate a plan to provide our girls with food and beverages (breakfast & lunch). Your involvement in this matter is highly important and our Varsity girls will be immensely grateful. Once a volunteer group is established, please contact me if you have any questions. Also, in order to protect our girls from the elements, we are in need of anyone to hopefully to bring a popup canopy or two. I can pitch in with a couple of coolers.

Our first game kicks off at 10:15AM. Varsity team will be on site in full uniform at least an hour prior to kickoff to have a pregame chat and proper warm-up session. Players are to bring their Home and Away set of uniforms.
(The coaching staff will be on site much earlier in order to locate a spot for us to set up camp and to assist the volunteers with preparations.)

Transportation to-and-from the tournament: Until further notice, each player will need to accommodate for her personal transportation.

Here's the program’s schedule for this new week.

MON 4/24: at Home vs Wyandotte, JV kicks off @ 4:30PM, VAR @ 6:00PM. Varsity ball girls for JV match: Shallow, Weimer, Cruz & June.

TUE thru THUR: 5:00PM-7:00PM practice at new training field.

FRI 4/28: at Trenton, VAR kicks off @ 4:00PM, JV @ 5:30PM. Bus to Trenton departs WHS @ 2:45PM. PHMS dismissal is at 2:20PM for quick ride to WHS. No early dismissal for HS players.

Our Lady Warriors finished their week of play in very good fashion.
On Monday, despite the bitter cold, they gave Carlson a good challenge and brought back home a valuable point by means of a 0-0 draw.
Tonight, their 4-0 win over Allen Park allowed them to obtain their fifth shutout in five league matches played.
Let's continue strong throughout next week.

Hello all:

The following is the schedule for the Girls Soccer program for the week of 4/17/23.

Monday 4/17/23: VAR & JV travel to Carlson HS. Bus leaves our HS at 3:30PM. JV kickoff is at 4:30PM, followed Varsity at 6:00PM.

Tuesday 4/18/23: VAR & JV practice 5:00PM – 7:00PM at the new training field.

Wednesday 4/19/23: We host Allen Park. Because AP doesn’t have a JV squad, our JV will only have a practice session prior to the Varsity match. This practice will be at the stadium. Start time is TBD. Varsity kickoff is at 6:00PM.

The following is our program's schedule for the week of 4/10/23.

MON 4/10/23: @ ANN ARBOR HURON, VAR @ 4:00PM, JV @ 5:30PM
NOTE: The bus is scheduled to leave WHS at 2:45PM. Dismissal for student/players at PHMS & WHS should remain as it was for our first game of the season: Those at PHMS were dismissed around 1:45PM and those at WHS at about 2:15PM.
