The fields may have been closed this weekend, but the work around the park never stops! 🥎⚾️

A special thank-you to our Field & Grounds Manager, JoJo Parker, who spent his Saturday transforming our overgrown Field 6 into a clean, playable field that’s ready for games! 👏

We also want to give a huge shoutout to the 🐍 Virginia Vipers Fastpitch! They truly live by the motto, “Leave it better than you found it.” During their Sunday practice, players and families pulled weeds, emptied trash cans, and cut all the outfields. 💪🌿

We are so blessed to have such a beautiful park, but keeping it that way truly takes a village. Thank you to everyone who has pitched in, helped spruce things up, and gotten the park ready for fall ball! ❤️

We appreciate every one of you! ⚾️🥎

⛈️ INCLEMENT WEATHER PROTOCOL ⛈️

CCLL is always on its regular operating schedule unless otherwise posted. In the event of park closures or delays, we will post to our page as soon as an update is available. If nothing is posted to our FB page, we are OPEN and playing ball ⚾️🥎!

CCLL makes every effort to post any closures or cancellations by 4:30PM on weeknights, and by 7:30AM on Saturdays.

In the event of any inclement weather DURING game play or practice:
- In the event of rain only, game play will continue at the Umpire’s discretion. Practice will continue at the Manager’s discretion.
- In the event of thunder and/or lightning, all games or practices MUST STOP for 30 minutes from the LAST lightning strike or thunder. Everyone MUST return to their VEHICLES to wait during this time. Managers or Umpires will assess the weather and field conditions and provide further instructions.

⭐️⭐️ Challenger Update ⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately due to the recent rain, our fields are not playable today and we must cancel tonight’s session for Challenger Baseball.

Thank you everyone for your patience as we’ve navigated this new program. We have learned a lot and anticipate future sessions going much more smoothly & consistently!

We are in the process of selecting 4 new dates in October, and hope the cooler Fall temperatures will be much kinder to us, because we can’t wait to see these kiddos back out on the field!
