Hi everyone!! As some of you may know the Gloucester County YMCA will no longer have a swim team starting in the fall. So we are going to have a pool party to celebrate the friendships that were made over the years. There will be games, prizes, music & plenty of food. And best of all its FREE!!!

So pass this evite along to all past & present team members and let me know how many are coming. Hope to see everyone there!!!

Tridents Swim Team Family,
I am sorry to announce we will no longer swimming as the "Tridents" in the fall. The YMCA of Gloucester County has decided not to bring back the team. We have the option to join Tide Water Aquatics Club. If you have not received an email from TWAC please email them ASAP because registration closes on Saturday, June 30th. [email protected].

A representative from TWAC is coming one day next week to the YMCA to help answer any questions parents may have about their swim team program. Please look over their program, pricing & current coaching staff.

Darren & myself want to thank our Trident swim family for all the hard work they have put into this team to make it the best. We wish all of "our" kids the best!!!

Dear Trident Families,

This memo is to alert you to some schedule changes made to accommodate our Thanksgiving week activities. First, we will be ending practice Mon., Nov. 20 at 8 PM to allow families to attend our Chipotle Fundraiser (5-9 PM). Second, practice on Wed., Nov. 22 will be held from 6-7:30 PM...you can come at any time during that period, but we will be ending early so that folks can go home and prepare for Turkey Day. Finally, we will all be having an extended weekend; there will be no practice Fri., Nov. 24. We will resume our regular practice schedule on Mon., Nov. 27. See you soon.

Practice starts Monday, Nov 6th at 6pm for Squad D & 7pm for Squads C, B & A. Any swimmers 13 & over have weight training at 6:15 pm.

From Renae Blaszyk Director of Operations:
"Reminder that all swimmers must have the following items completed to be permitted into practice on Monday:

Full Membership – in good standing
Deposit #1 – paid
Deposit #2 – paid
Meet Fees – paid
Registered for Squad Option
There will be no exceptions made."

We will run the time trials just like a meet on Sunday, October 29th. We will have warm ups at 1pm & start time at 1:30pm. We will need a lot of volunteers so here is most of the positions we will need filled:
1 Starter official (filled), 3 Stroke & Turn officials(filled), 12-14 timers, 2 place judges, 1 runner, 1 Starter, 2-3 people to input times (1 filled).

There will be training/help & we don't mind if you make a mistake on Sunday. All this training will help all of us be prepared for our 1st home meet on Saturday, November 11th!!! Please remember to turn in your volunteer paperwork to Kim, Darren, Kris (Aquatics Manager) or the front desk by Monday, October 30th.

The swimmers will not be able to leave the deck during the Time Trials, we are going to see about having them sit together on the additional set of bleachers. This will make it easier for the person staging them. Plus it helps them get to know, support & cheer on each other!!!

We will not have a concession stand this day so please make sure you bring water for the swimmers.

If you unable to make it please let one of the coaches know.

There is a possible Stroke & Turn Official class on Sun. Oct. 8th at the Vineland YMCA. The training lasts approximately 4 hours & the cost is $40 per person. Please let me know by Wednesday, September 20th if you want to do this so i can let Kris (Aquatic Manager) know. The YMCA will need the payment by Wednesday, September 27th. Thank you!

We are having a Tridents Ice Cream Fundraiser at Deptford Skate Center (DSC) on Wednesday, October 4th from 6pm - 9pm. This also happens to be the same night as our swimsuit fitting at the YMCA from 5pm - 7pm. So come out get the swimmers fitted & get some dessert on your way home🍦 They also take credit/debit cards.

Fall Warm Ups start this Monday, September 11th and ends Friday, November 3rd. Practice will be Monday's and Wednesday's from 7pm-8pm then Friday's from 6pm-7pm. The cost is $120 for Full members and $168 for Program Members.
