We have received a lot of calls, messages, and questions regarding the future of the Woodbury FFA Championship Tractor Pull, and we wanted to provide an update.
As many of you know, Cannon County has begun the process of constructing a new 911 Operations Center on the property where the tractor pull has traditionally been held. Because of this project, there are still several details that must be worked through regarding the logistics of hosting this year’s event.
At this time, the Woodbury FFA Championship Tractor Pull remains scheduled for Saturday, September 26, 2026.
While there are still questions that need to be answered, we want to be transparent with our supporters, pullers, sponsors, and fans that discussions are ongoing regarding how the event will be conducted. Our goal remains the same: to provide the quality event that thousands of spectators have come to expect while continuing to support the students of Woodbury FFA.
Over the years, the Woodbury FFA Championship Tractor Pull has grown into one of the premier motorsports events in the region, attracting approximately 5,000 spectators annually and earning multiple Pro Pulling League One-Day Pull of the Year awards. What began as a local fundraiser has become a nationally recognized event, and we are incredibly proud of the impact it has had on our students, community, and supporters.
We have remained in regular communication with Cannon County Executive Greg Mitchell throughout this process. He has continued to reassure us that measures are being made to ensure the Woodbury FFA Championship Tractor Pull will continue to call the Woodbury Fairgrounds home.
While the layout and overall footprint of the event may look different in the future, our commitment to providing a first-class tractor pull and supporting Woodbury FFA students remains unchanged.
The Woodbury FFA Championship Tractor Pull is more than just a tractor pull—it is a tradition that has become part of our community’s identity. We are committed to preserving that tradition and building a path forward that allows this event to continue serving our students and community.
