For some today is a celebration of Jesus' return to heaven or Ascension Day. Acts Chapter 1 verses 6-9 states,

6 When the apostles met together with Jesus, they asked him, “Lord, will you at this time give the Kingdom back to Israel?”

7 Jesus said to them, “The times and occasions are set by my Father's own authority, and it is not for you to know when they will be. 8 But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” 9 After saying this, he was taken up to heaven as they watched him, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

This is a great word for today and a reminder. Do not let the worries of this world trouble you. Let the Father take care of all of that. Just focus on Jesus and allow the Power of the Holy Spirit to guide you to be witnesses wherever you are.

I just wanted to get on here and say that everyone has been amazing to us as we had to lay to rest my mother-in-law and father-in-law Tuesday. It has been a hard couple of months; not just days of helping and watching as they both came closer to the day; they would see Jesus. They both already knew Him and have felt His presence many times over the years but now (HALLELUJAH!) they are basking in His presence.
God's peace is ours and we take hold of that. If you are reading this and do not understand how we are seemingly OK as a family, then please reach out to me. Whether you are a close friend or just found this post by mistake. Scripture states,
"and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:7
We are mourning and grieving but at the same time rejoicing for Meme and Pawpaw no longer feel pain or emotions. They are in God's presence. Meme can see clearly, and any side effects of her stroke no longer exists. Pawpaw has no trouble in walking and even has clarity of thought like never before.
Thank you again for all of the prayers and condolences that helped us.

Because of our need to be in Richmond on Monday and Tuesday, we will not be having class this Tuesday Feb 8. But continue to practice your forms and we will have a competition when we get back. CHUNGDO!
