Potomac Patriots Junior Hockey Club

Potomac Patriots Junior A hockey club play out of Prince William Ice center in Woodbridge Virginia. We are members of the USPHL.

This Page will cover our Premier and Elite hockey teams. The Patriots play in the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL), which operates in 24 of the 50 United States, is the Nation’s largest amateur ice hockey league. The league is comprised of more than 600 teams. Players in the USPHL are 6 to 21 years of age. Overall, the USPHL has had over 2,500 players advance to the collegiate level; an

d even more have advanced to other levels of the game. The JR Patriots range from 16 to 20 years of age and a recruited from all over the world. The ultimate goal of the USPHL is to prepare and develop players for college hockey (and beyond) through a tiered development program. Unlike any other league in North America, within the USPHL it is possible for a player to advance through an organization starting at mites and ending in junior hockey. COMMITTED 🚨

The Potomac Patriots are proud to announce that forward Hayden Ritter has committed to continue his hockey career at the University of Mary ACHA Division I program!

Hayden has been a major part of the Patriots organization over the past two seasons, bringing a strong two-way game, leadership, and consistency every time he hit the ice. During his time with Potomac, the 6’4” forward appeared in 50 games, recording 13 goals, 15 assists, and 28 points while continuing to develop into a key player for the Patriots.

Hayden’s development during his time with Potomac is a direct reflection of the work he put in every day. His compete level, commitment to improving, and team-first attitude helped earn the opportunity to join one of the top ACHA Division I programs in the country at the University of Mary.

We’re proud of everything Hayden accomplished in Potomac and can’t wait to follow his next chapter.

Congratulations to Sol Levy on his commitment to Weber State University Hockey to continue his academic and hockey career!

Sol brought tremendous energy and work ethic every single day during his 20 games with the Potomac Patriots. Whether it was in practice, the locker room, or during games, he consistently showed the type of compete level and attitude every team wants in their lineup.

The Potomac Patriots are proud to announce that forward Karson Grainey has committed to continue his hockey career at Weber State University ACHA!

Karson joined the Patriots late in the season and immediately made an impact both on and off the ice. From day one, he brought energy, experience, and a great presence to our locker room while becoming a key addition to the lineup down the stretch.

Over his USPHL career, Karson totaled an impressive 147 points, showcasing the offensive ability, consistency, and experience that made him such a valuable addition to our group this season.

His compete level, leadership, and passion for the game helped strengthen our team throughout the year, and we’re excited to see him continue his career at Weber State.

We’re grateful for the time Karson spent in Potomac and proud to have been a part of his journey.

Congratulations to Jakob Kolega on his Commitment to George Mason University ACHA M1 team!

Jake spent 2 seasons with us here in Potomac playing 53 games between the elite and Premier team!

Jake is an incredibly hard worker, and one of those guys you have to have in a locker room! He is going to have success in everything he does as he takes the next steps into college!

Congratulations to Conner Nieto on his commitment to Worcester State University!

In his time with the Patriots, Conner showed major development, playing 78 games and making a huge jump from 15 points in his first season to 50 points this year.

Serving as team captain last season, Conner led the way with his work ethic, consistency, and ability to elevate his game when it mattered most. His growth on the ice and leadership off it made him a key piece of the program.

A 2-year staple on the Patriots Premier blue line, Trevor played 87 games, putting up an impressive 20 goals and 44 assists — while setting the franchise record for points by a defenseman.

Trevor’s offensive instincts, poise with the puck, and ability to impact the game at both ends made him a difference-maker every night. His growth and consistency have been a huge part of the program’s success.

A 3-year Patriots forward, Kayden has appeared in 115 games, recording 17 goals, 66 assists, and 83 points while progressing from Elite to Premier.

Kayden’s growth on and off the ice has been outstanding. His smooth skating, hockey IQ, and commitment to becoming a true 200-foot player have made him a huge part of the Patriots program.
