🏆Our little ski club has just successfully hosted the first stop in the World Water Skiers Granite Cup !! This has been one of the best attended water ski tournaments since the 80’s, with estimated crowds of over 3000 spectators. Our vision was to get water skiing out in front of the public again and away from private sites where no one can witness the greatness of these athletes. We have so many people to thank! Firstly, thank you to the athletes that displayed incredible sportsmanship and gave our aspiring skiers true mentorship and showed how a true professional acts in victory and defeat. Special thanks to Jaret Llewellyn and Richard Abelson for helping to set the stage and taking care of the athletes. All of our sponsors- we hope you come back next year, especially Goodhue Boat Company. Officials including David Allen, David Lincoln, Cole Maurer, David Knight who work tirelessly with our local officials Chip Jones, Bob Shilo, Bill Swafield and Becky Bartlett. David Youngblood and Brian Decker. Special thanks to our tournament director Jay Frucci. There are so many club members that pitched in and supported this effort. Thank you all!! This was AMAZING!!
