🥅 12U: 7:20–8:20 PM

Then we’re back at The Pop the following week!

An Update on Thunderbird Hockey Camp

It is with heavy hearts that we have to announce the cancellation of the 2026 Thunderbird Hockey Camp.

On Friday morning, we learned that the ice at Pop Whalen Ice Arena will not be ready in time for camp, scheduled for August 17–21. Because of this unforeseen circumstance, we are unfortunately unable to hold camp this year.

This decision was completely outside of our control, and we know how much our players and families were looking forward to another great week on the ice.

The Town of Wolfeboro Parks & Recreation Department, the Friends of Pop Whalen, and the Town of Wolfeboro are actively working together to address the issues with the arena's chiller system so the facility can reopen as soon as possible.

💚 All registration fees will be refunded.

We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this causes. Thank you to everyone who registered, supported the camp, and our amazing coaching staff who were looking forward to working with your players.

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support of Back Bay Hockey and Thunderbird Hockey Camp. We look forward to getting back on the ice with you as soon as possible. 🏒💚

🏒 MEET THE COACH | Tom Jumper 🦅

The coaches make the camp—and we're excited to have Coach Tom Jumper back for his second year at Thunderbird Hockey Camp!

Coach Jumper has spent the past three seasons behind the bench with the Kingswood-Prospect Mountain Knightwolves, helping guide the program while bringing passion, energy, and a love for teaching the game every single day.

A defensive specialist who played high school hockey in Maine and collegiate lacrosse, Coach Jumper knows what it takes to compete. More importantly, he knows how to connect with young athletes, build confidence, and make hockey fun.

Whether your player is just getting started or looking to take the next step, Coach Jumper is excited to help them grow on and off the ice.
