For the first time ever, two robots will compete in a live boxing match next month, announced by Chinese robotics company Unitry.
The event, called “Unity Iron Fist King,” is set to stream live in May 2025. While the exact robot models are yet to be confirmed, it’s expected that Unitry’s G1 or advanced H1 robots will enter the ring.
A promotional video shows the robots practicing martial arts and boxing moves, though their reaction time and balance still lag behind humans.
The event marks a major step forward in robotics, blending entertainment with cutting-edge artificial intelligence and engineering.
