Can you call yourself the "Man of the House" if you don't have a Pistol Grip 12ga Shotty? Or maybe one for each hand? Here we have TWO very special Mossberg 500ATP Models that were modified with Hoge Tamer All weather pistol grip furniture to be used as grizzly protection for a freind and customer who was a backcountry guide in Idaho! FYI, one of these has shot a bear! The 500ATP is the precursor to the 590 model line. In the 1970's and 80's, the 500ATP was not a standard 500 series shotgun. It was from their "Special-Purpose lineup for Military and Police use only. ATP was an Official Tactical/Police Model built to the most stringent standards within the Mossberg product lines. I googled, "did anything cool happen in 1983", and nothing impressed me. Safe to say, the creation of these two beauties maybe the epitome of coolness for 1983.

S&W Heavy Duty .38/44 Pre-War, N-Frame - 5 Screw - Limited Production 6.5" BBL configuration, 54### serial number........ 38 S&W Special or .38/44 S&W Special cal., double action revolver built on the larger square butt N 5 screw frame, 6 shot, 5 in. round pinned barrel w/limited production of 4 or 6 1/2 in. barrels, blue or nickel finish. Guns mfg. 1930-1935 shipped in maroon boxes, guns mfg. 1935-1940 shipped in Blue Picture Boxes. 41 oz., 11,111 mfg. April 1930-1941.

12 are documented to be chambered in .45 C**t, some of which were shipped in 1937, 1938, and 1939 to law enforcement.
Originally intended for a high powered .38 Special round, at times called the .38 Super Police (predecessor of the .357 Magnum). Serial number range 35037 to 62335 in the .44 Hand Ejector 3rd Model series.
