Terry has had a lifetime of upland and water fowl hunting. He soon developed a love affair for hunting with light, quick, classic, side-by-side shotguns. Bluing, modifying chokes, stock bending, adding recoil and leather pads, re-finishing wood, fabricating parts, repairing cracks, re-jointing actions, color case hardening, honing bores, refinishing wood...all the skills involved with gun repair and restoration have been mastered through years of experience. Most of our work is done on shotguns and double gun rifles. Nicholson Restorations also offers a "Shoot-To-Fit", custom stock bending service.

The photo below shows a sleeve job in progress. The old barrel has been removed and the mono block has been machined to accept a new barrel. The new barrel will be soldered/welded into place and then re finished.

This gun ended up on our bench after spending months at 2 other gun shops, who failed to figure out the repair. Actually, the sear-hammer interface was the source of the problem not the single trigger mechanism that everyone else was focused on. The gun is now back in service after one week in our shop.
