Final gobbler of spring 2026 for me. Got to share the hunt with my brother Jerry Zebro. I didn't have to tell him to call louder this morning! 😆 Thanks to Dean Hulce and Linda for letting Jerry and I stay and hunt their great properties. Thanks to my wife Paula Doebler Scheidegger for putting up with my crazy spring addiction! And thank the Lord for letting my enjoy another spring turkey season.

Picked up my 2nd Gobbler of the season this morning. So I ended up with my Birthday Bird this year! And my 100th adult gobbler. He was a dandy also. 1.5" hooks, 11.5" beard and 21lbs. Wrapping up my spring in the UP of Michigan this weekend.

Managed to get a little blood on my trough call this past Sunday. Micah Hulce and I got on this gobbling bird about 9am...

Managed to get a little blood on my trough call this past Sunday. Micah Hulce and I got on this gobbling bird about 9am Saturday morning. Up in Rusk County. He strutted and gobbled and feed up to 50 yards. A good 2 yr old for number 99. 10 in. beard, 3/4 in. spurs and 20lbs. Still got a couple more weeks to reach 100 adult toms in this my 30th year of chasing these great birds.
