A quick note on photo permissions: If you opted out of the media release during registration, please don't submit photos featuring your child. Please also be mindful of other players' privacy when submitting group photos. We will review all submissions before sharing them publicly.

The link to our Fall 2026 soccer photo gallery has officially been emailed to our registered families! 🎉

Check your inbox for instructions on downloading your player's team photo, along with their individual photo, if one was taken.

Our FIRST picture day for this season is TOMORROW! 📸🤩

Please review the Photo Day Schedule below to confirm the day and time your player's team will have their team and individual player pictures taken with Kaz Conrad Photography. 😁

👉🏼 Coaches, please remind your players or their parents so that everyone arrives on time.

👉🏼 Parents, please have your player at the soccer field on time for their team’s photo. All players and coaches receive a digital team photo for FREE through our partnership with the photographer.

If your player wants the optional individual player photo for $20, please have payment ready at your player's designated appointment time, along with the photo form (see below).

Note: We'll use a new background this season!

⚽ Volunteer Update & Reminder

For any families who were signed up to volunteer today, your family’s volunteer requirement will be considered fulfilled. Because the games were canceled by the board after volunteers had already committed their time and planned around today’s schedule, no additional volunteer time is needed.

Thank you to everyone who was willing and prepared to help today!

A reminder for families who have not signed up yet:

Each family is required to complete TWO HOURS of volunteer time, regardless of how many players are registered within the household.

Serving as a current board member or an approved and confirmed coach/co-coach fulfills your family’s volunteer requirement. All other families are required to complete two hours of volunteer time.

🚨 Tomorrow, September 20th, is the deadline to sign up if you want to guarantee a volunteer opportunity and the chance to receive your $100 volunteer deposit back.

Volunteer spots may still be available after September 20th, but they are not guaranteed. If a spot is still available and you complete your required volunteer time, your deposit will be refunded. If no volunteer opportunities remain because you did not sign up by the deadline, your deposit will not be refunded.

We monitor completed volunteer hours throughout the season. Families who do not complete the required two hours will not receive their $100 volunteer deposit back.

With our soccer season quickly approaching, it’s time to sign up to volunteer! 😁🎉

Rapids Rec Soccer is run entirely by volunteers, which helps keep registration costs affordable for our families. Thank you for giving your time to help make the season enjoyable and successful!

Each family is required to complete TWO HOURS of volunteer time, regardless of how many players are registered to play within the household.

⚽ Rec Soccer Coach Training – Sunday, August 30th at 5:00 PM

Approved Rapids Rec Soccer coaches are invited to join us for a coach training this Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Washington Soccer Fields on field 2B.

Keith Wirtz, our new Coach & Referee Development Advisor, will walk coaches through simple drills, discuss what to focus on (and what not to focus on!) for each age group, provide coaching tips, and more.

Keith has been involved in soccer for several years, dedicating time to both Rapids Rec Soccer and Rapids Kickers.

He’s a valuable resource for our program and is eager to help support our coaches and provide practical tools you can use with your teams this season.

Training is not mandatory, but strongly encouraged for all approved coaches.

📍 Meet: Under the concession pavilion

🕔 Time: 5:00 PM - Please arrive a few minutes early so we can start on time.

⚽ Bring: A soccer ball and a water bottle

👟 Wear: Comfortable clothes and tennis shoes or cleats. Come dressed and ready to participate!

Hi Rec Families!!

We are finalizing teams for the fall season and we are short two coaches. We need one coach for co-ed 4K-1 and one coach for girls only 2nd-3rd. If your child/children plays in one of those age groups and you are interested in coaching for us this fall please send us a message!
