Pacific Alpine Guides is a ski and mountain guide service based in the Pacific Northwest. We operate year-round, around the world, specializing in human-powered skiing as well as alpine climbing/mountaineering, and AIARE avalanche training. Beyond our back yard, some of the places we go include Alaska's Wrangell-St. Elias National Park, British Columbia's Selkirk Mountains, the volcanoes region of

Southern Chile, Japan's northern island of Hokkaido, Russia's Caucasus Mountains, and the Antarctic Peninsula. We emphasize safety & professionalism, high quality mountain experiences (= fun), small groups, and low ratios.

Sunrise summit vibes from the Bakerhorn (Komo Kulshan) and other scenes from lower down. The atmospheric river last December set up the high elevations with a deep snowpack, which made for easy glacier travel this summer.

Adventure skiing last week in Alaska’s Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. Each day we set off with an open-minded definition of fun, and each day we are rewarded. Exploring new zones, new point-to-point tours, new peaks, and new mega-descents. With the arctic temps relegated to the morning hours, it’s starting to feel like spring at Tebay.

Tebay Lodge is open for business ✨ A cold AF and beautiful AF week-one with blue-hued ice-crystal-suspended atmospheric clarity. Thanks to the Methow crew for opening our season. New peaks, new valleys, a wolverine sighting, and one morning waking up to -32F! Especially cool to have our longtime Chile Volcanoes outfitter join us here in Alaska.
