🎾 Curious about Racquet Sports at Wintergreen?

Join us this Sunday, June 7 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM for our complimentary Stoney Creek Racquet Sports Open House!

Whether you're picking up a racquet for the first time or looking to sharpen your game, enjoy fun and energizing clinics, games on and off the court, and a showcase of our Stoney Creek Racquet Sports facilities. All ages and skill levels are welcome.

After the action wraps up, stick around for happy hour at Iron & Ale and cheer on the French Open finalists with fellow tennis fans.

Registration is encouraged but not required.

Summer evenings in the Blue Ridge are back.

Chairlift Sunset Sessions returns Saturday, June 13, featuring live music from Troutmouth. Straight from the backroads of Virginia, Troutmouth brings a raw, authentic blend of punk, folk, and outlaw country to Checkerberry Cabin.

Ride the Blue Ridge Express chairlift down to Checkerberry Cabin, take in the sunset views, gather around the campfires, and enjoy an evening of live music in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Chairlift rides begin at 6:30pm, and music starts at 7:00pm.

Food, drinks, and s'more kits will be available for purchase. This is an outdoor venue, so bring your own chair or blanket, or pick one up from our retail stores.

Tickets are available online now. We look forward to kicking off another season of Chairlift Sunset Sessions with you on the mountain.

Some of you may notice that large glowing thing in the sky today… apparently it’s called the sun. ☀️😅

After what feels like endless gray skies and nonstop rain, the sun is finally out and the mountain is set up for an absolutely beautiful weekend at Wintergreen Resort.

Whether you’re relaxing lakeside at Lake Monocan, taking on the activities at Discovery Ridge Adventure Center, teeing it up on the golf course, enjoying racquet sports, or heading out for a hike along the Blue Ridge, there’s no better time to get outside and soak in the fresh mountain air.

Sunshine, mountain views, and a packed weekend of outdoor adventure… sounds like a pretty good combination to us. 🌄

As Memorial Day Weekend comes to a close, we want to thank everyone who spent part of their holiday weekend with us at Wintergreen Resort. Despite the fog, rain, and unpredictable mountain weather, many of you still came out Saturday for our Summer Kick Off Festival and helped make it a fun day.

Memorial Day is also a time for reflection and gratitude. While the long weekend often marks the unofficial start of summer, the holiday carries a much deeper meaning. Today, we honor and remember the brave servicemen and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice gave us the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy every day, and we are forever grateful.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day from all of us at Wintergreen Resort.

Heads up for this Saturday — May 16 🚴‍♂️

The James Beazell Wintergreen Ascent returns, bringing some of the region’s top cyclists to the mountain for one of the most challenging hill climb time trials in the Mid-Atlantic. Riders will be on the road from the base of Wintergreen up to the Spa throughout the morning and early afternoon.

Drivers, please be aware:
Expect cyclists on the roadway and use extra caution along the route. Give riders plenty of space as they make the climb — this is a competitive event on open roads, and safety is the top priority for everyone involved.

For anyone still interested in racing, registration closes this Friday, so there’s still time to sign up and take on the ascent.

This iconic event is hosted by the Charlottesville Racing Club and Blue Ridge Cyclery in partnership with Wintergreen Resort and Blue Toad Hard Cider, and serves as the Virginia State Championship Hill Climb as part of the Mid-Atlantic Time Trial Series.
