Interesting factoid:

Recent data suggests that pickleballers outnumber pickleball courts by a margin of 110 to 1. Compare that to tennis players, who outnumber courts 84 to 1 (source: Cult Tennis YouTube channel).

Visited the Central Winds site about 2 weeks ago. Good looking sign!!!!

No work done on courts….. no pushing of dirt whatsoever….. there looks like a three door building with a roof. Perhaps bathrooms. Got a ways to go for sure!!!

Rich knocking that ball harder. We were using a wall to be protected from wind and to get a zillion extra hits. Playing down at Naples in April. Was a Champion racquetball player and looking forward to his para pickleball career. Cool little Frenchie pooch as well…..

Tuesday night Lucky Pickleball League. Teams formed of 4. Men’s dbls, Women’s dbls, then two mixed. 3.5 flavor.

Teams formed with parity in mind. Play in the right mindset loads of cyclic fun. Good workout with some chuckles.

Real good crew today……
6 players looking to get better……
Trying to crawl out of the inconsistent and move into competent…..
Some needed reminders about stroke mechanics, some footwork, some point of contact, some all of that….
Ended the drills with working on a cut serve, chopping with backspin, an honorable effort but still off in the distance…..

Below is a Tuesday night league at Round Lake. 3.5 plus. Quite a few good players. Toshie is running it. Got the right attitude for this. Teams of 4 so we play mens dbls, womens dbls, and two mixed. 4 weeks schedule. 8 teams. Well done to Tosh assisted by Joey and Kathy Rivera. Salutes!!

Here is a fundamental truth I have discovered. I and others are Rec players. We are not receiving compensation.

Look at a pro match. Excessive d***s later, numerous winners saved and brought back, patience patience patience. A recent article estimates 2 hours of drilling for every one hour of playing.

Have you counted the numbers of hits per rally in your local game? An average would be 5….. I swear as I have sat at Cady Way and observed…

So with that off the table why fool yourself? We play because of the exercise, the chuckles and the camaraderie. So helpful to keep that in mind the next time you make a fantastic shot with a total flub in the next hit.

The mental component is so important.
