Chasing History on the Mississippi River

It's hard to believe that today is the one-year anniversary of team Mile Marker Zero's record setting run on the Mississippi River. My account of this epic adventure is on the way to the publisher and I should have books available sometime in June.

For 18 days my teammates and I endured freezing temperatures, thunderstorms, equipment failures and a giant whirlpool in the nonstop race to the Gulf of Mexico. We reached our goal a little before 4 am on May 10, 2021.

In addition to the main story, my book is filled with color photos and historical trivia. You will definitely know how to spell "Mississippi" by the end of it!

GREAT ALABAMA 650

The Run & Paddle series finale will be held at Gemini Springs on Saturday, Oct. 21st. For our two person teams, there will be a fun "special test" for the teammate that is not doing the three-mile run. Because of limited parking at the race site, the event is limited to 50 teams and 20 solo racers. I have five kayaks available for solo racers or you can bring your own canoe, kayak or SUP.
