Last night again didn't go as planned but the outcome was more than we had hoped for. Preston qualified in the back which was completely fine. About two to three laps into the race Preston was making some really good passes through the intersection. He only slowed down/stopped twice. He didn't finish the race due to technical difficulties but for the laps that were completed were great. The team got all the results that we needed from this race and everyone was happy. Thank you to all who helped Preston and came out to support him. 🏁

Preston has been working his butt off for weeks to get ready for this race. The results of tonight's heat was not what we were hoping for but it did shed light on all we need to do to get ready for tomorrow's race. Preston started on the pole in the first heat. He had an okay lead of all of the cars behind him while they were battling each other to get one spot closer to the front. After a few laps one of the cars that was behind him creeped through the small field and made his way up near Preston. The 4 of Mike H fought to get the spot next to Preston. While running on old tires Preston tried to defend his spot as leader but beside him Mike was not going to give up and they got together a little bit. Preston broke a bolt that was holding on the J Bar. A new game plan is set in place and Preston will be back for tomorrow's race.

Last night Preston had the pleasure of holding the checkered flag for our Missing Man lap. He was pulling car lengths ahead of everyone left and right. Finally as the race came to an end Wayne Calkins got closer to him. The end of the race resulted in a win for Preston Davis Motorsports. Preston dedicated his win last night to Martin Sharpe (Uncle Junior. The wonderful man that we did the missing man lap for).

Since Preston isn't racing tonight he's watching a different type of racing, Mega Truck racing. Preston really enjoys watching the Mega Trucks race, he loves the big loud motors the most. Here's two pictures of him helping his favorite Mega Truck racer, Ken Brewer.

Last night Preston finished second. It'll take us a few practices here and there to completely figure out how the car runs on 10' tries. We'll figure it out before the next race and come back to get that first place spot. Thanks to all the fans that came out last night to support Preston and the other Figure-8 drivers. 🏁
