Last night, SouthWest Aquatics hosted another one of our favorite traditions—our Mini Swim Meet! 🏊💙

We welcomed 87 young swimmers, including our youngest competitor at just 2 years, 5 months old! Every race was filled with courage, excitement, and proud moments.

What makes these meets so special is that many of the STARS competing at Senior Championships this week and who raced at FLAGS last weekend stood on these same starting blocks for their very first swim meet. Every swimmer's journey begins with one race.

The evening was full of cheering, smiles, medals, rubber ducks, high fives, a few happy tears (and maybe a few nervous ones!), and so much encouragement from family, coaches, and loved ones.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a memorable night. We can't wait to see even more first-time racers at our next Mini Swim Meet!

⭐️ Waking up as a STAR always feels special... but today feels a little extra special.

Over the last 96 hours, our SouthWest STARS competed at the 2026 Florida Long Course Age Group Championships—the meet our 14 & Under swimmers prepare for all summer long. It takes months of commitment, discipline, and countless early mornings to be ready for this weekend.

This team showed incredible determination, resilience, sportsmanship and heart.

🥉 We are proud to have finished 3rd Overall in the State of Florida and as the highest-finishing Central Florida team at this championship meet.

But what makes us the proudest isn't where we finished.

It's the way our swimmers competed. They raced for each other. They celebrated each other's successes. They showed grit when races didn't go as planned. And while we had moments we'd like back and mistakes we'll learn from, that's exactly what great teams do—they grow, they adjust, and they come back even stronger.

🥈 11–12 Girls Medley Relay – 2nd
🥉 13–14 Girls Medley Relay – 3rd
🥉 13–14 Boys Medley Relay – 3rd

Multiple "B" relays also scored significant team points by finishing in the top 16, showing outstanding depth.

The SouthWest STARS had swimmers scoring across:
10 & Under Girls
10 & Under Boys
11–12 Girls
11–12 Boys
13–14 Girls
13–14 Boys

There is so much more depth and power to our team! That kind of scoring across EVERY age group is what propelled the team to 3rd overall.

To our swimmers, coaches and families—thank you. This weekend was the result of an entire community and family believing in one another.

The future is bright for SouthWest STARS, and we're already excited to get back to work.
