Fun workout! Our mission is to plant, grow, and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership. Started in 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina, F3 has grown to more than 49 states and 4,500 + scheduled workouts a week through the volunteer efforts of men whose lives have been changed by their involvement with the group. The three Fs in our name stand for Fitness, Fellowship and Faith — the last of which we define as not one specific religion or faith system, but simply a belief in something outside oneself. F3 participants range in age from teens all the way to Men in their 80's
Our workouts …
Are free of charge
Are open to all men
Are held outdoors, rain or shine, heat or cold
Are led by men who participate in the workout in a rotating fashion, with no training or certification necessary
End with a Circle of Trust
We welcome men of all fitness levels to our workouts and have no requirement for membership other than that you show up at the appointed time and place and follow what the workout leader (the “Q” in F3 lingo) does. The F3 Credo is: Leave no man behind, but leave no man where you find him.

How far can we go!
Today we ran and during the run we would run in 2 minutes segments. Then stop and do a exercise. First squats. Then run 2 minutes then pushups. Then Run for 2 more minutes. The calf raises. We continued that for 14 minutes then did a one minute plank. Then headed back and repeated that until we got back to the start. Good cardio and hard workout.

Wanted to share what I did this weekend. If it weren't for the F3 community, this wouldn't have happened.

What happened? I did something Saturday that I haven't done in a while: a race, an adventure race! A Warrior race, to be exact, in the middle of the Marshall swamp in Florida. A race to find checkpoints without the use of GPS or technology. We could only use maps and a compass.

It took us through the woods, swamp, up and down rivers, and over roads. We trekked through the woods and swamp, over roads, kayaked up and down the river, biked through muddy trails, trekked again through the woods and over roads, and then biked to finish it off. We thought it would be about 15 miles. It ended up being 27 miles and took 6.5 hours.

It was the great leadership of our team that kept us going. We had two great F3 leaders who kept us moving and made smart strategic moves. I didn't expect or even care about placing, but we took second place in men's overall.

One of my biggest takeaways from this weekend is how important it was to have a team and to have people telling me to just keep moving. Example and encouragement matters and makes a difference!

I attribute this achievement to F3 and am grateful for everyone in this community!
