Zouk dance in May 2026! Zouk, originating from Brazil, is a fun, flowing, creative partner dance done to modern music. Come explore this fast-growing dance with our Beginner (or Refresher) Bootcamp Monday 5/4, and Class Series Mon 5/11, 5/18 at AFAS in downtown Winston-Salem, 6:30pm, and Tues 5/26 at East of Texas, 6:15pm. Pay $40 in advance for all 4 (a $55 value!)

Zouk fuses elements that you may know from other dances, like salsa patterns, body rolls, waves and tilts from sensual bachata, circular movement from cumbia, ochos and close embrace from tango, counterbalances from ballet, traveling from ballroom ... and its own unique head movement and "wifi" elements.

As we grow and nurture our zouk dance community in the Triad of NC, we're excited to announce our new, formal Code of Conduct and Safe Space Policy, which applies to our classes, socials, bootcamps and other events organized by Triad Zouk. Our Fall 2025 zouk dance class+social series kicks off Monday Oct 13th at AFAS in downtown Winston-Salem! It's 6 weeks, and we're offering some special pricing:

Pay per class: $15

What is zouk? A fun partner dance w/ roots in Brazilian lambada, it has elements you may recognize from other dances: the spins of salsa, body connection of kizomba, tango & bachata, musicality of west coat swing, counterbalance of ballet, traveling of ballroom, and more. Danced to a lot of modern, medium temo music. Come check it out!
