Fitness in Balance is all about comprehensive personal training that takes into consideration your strengths, weaknesses, imbalances and goals! My training is structured around training SMARTER rather than always harder. I specialize in giving clients a strong training foundation that will reduce injuries and help clients get fitter and stronger. I focus on personal assessment, good technique and

reducing imbalances that rob the body of efficiency within each workout. I work with a variety of cliental including: runners, triathletes and swimmers to exercise beginners, seniors and fitness enthusiasts! Here's a tidbit about me:
I am a NASM certified personal trainer currently studying to be a corrective exercise specialist. I have spent over 20 years working full-time as a personal trainer and instructor in the fitness industry. I have over 6 years of experience working in tandem with clinical physicians training clients with physical ailments including: lower back pain, knee pain, hip pain, shoulder pain and chronic overuse sports injuries. I have a great network of professionals that I collaborate with in order to get my clients great results! I am an enthusiast of Running, Strength Training, Music and Food (otherwise called Nom Nom's!)

Mid life changes aren’t easy but I have to remember 👇🏼

We are all built differently- we all possess different, lovely, unique attributes that make us beautiful beings

Different skin, crooked teeth, big muscles, long muscles, soft bellies, ripped bellies, tall, short, dainty, strong…

ALL unique and these attributes makes us who we are

So why are we pressured to all look the same even as we age?

One season it’s waif thin. The next season it’s big butts and a tiny waist. No wrinkles, no expression, perfectly white straight teeth…

There’s a pressure to morf into the same look- usually a filtered one at that, and it’s not even real!

Screw that s**t ladies!

Love your uniqueness and lean into what you love about yourself! I’m not telling you to be apathetic- it’s great to improve upon yourself, but for the love of God embrace what you’ve been blessed with because AI is not a look to strive for and don’t you dare let it make you feel like s**t about yourself!

Rise up ladies

Women’s fitness and wellness has gotten so weird!

Let’s keep piling on more “things” that women need to be doing. I could literally name a dozen things I’m doing while my male counterpart (love him dearly) survives off the basics like: food, water, sleep, family. My embarrassing transparent list lately:
- Lymphatic drainage
- Retin A
- Breathwork
- Weight training
- Hydration
- Proper nutrition
- Facial massage and exercises
- Cardiovascular exercise
- Hitting daily Protein and Fiber
- Caloric balance

The list goes on and on🤪 WTF?

Truth is, if you are asking your body to build something strong and resilient you need to be giving it the raw materials to do so!👇🏼

•Eat well: Protein and fiber and micronutrients
•Movement everyday! Don’t be a slug
•Strength training
•Recovery and mobility
•Good sleep

You know what’s not building a solid foundation?

Most Supplements
Vibration plates
Weighted vests
Severe calorie restriction
Weight loss injections
Hot and cold therapy
Biohacking
Step counting as cardio
Red light therapy
Fancy cellulite creams

Note: if you want to add such things it’s ok, it’s just not going to deliver you results unless you nail the basics

There… I said it because I want you know the truth ❤️

Always build the foundation first and you’ll not only start feeling better but you can reduce the overwhelm of all of the “things” that the wellness industry is trying to sell you as a woman!

What if the goal of aging was about feeling powerful in every season?

I don’t “know, know” but I know you would care less about:

1. Your actual scale weight

2. Your wrinkles

3. Your clothing size

4. Your physical imperfections

5. Your body part size

And you’d care a whole lot more about:

1. Your attitude

2. Your discipline

3. Your nutrition

4. Your physical and mental health
