Sheepdog Martial Concepts Gene has studied Aikido, Kyushu Jitsu, & Israeli Combatives.

He is a certified Defensive Tactics Instructor through Force Options amd a certified Associate Instructor in Martial Blade Concepts. Sheepdog Martial Concepts (SMC) is an open-hand Combatives training program specifically designed to meet the needs of today's concerned citizen. Based on Gene's extensive analysis of the martial arts and many other Combatives systems, SMC emphasizes the development of “all-purpose” defensive skills. Rather than learning a large number of specific techniques to defend against specific attacks, SMC focuses on perfecting a few proven principles and learning how to apply them to literally hundreds of different defensive situations. Through this easy-to-learn method, students develop defensive proficiency very quickly and have both the ability and the confidence to employ their skills after only a brief period of training through the use of Adrenal Stress Scenario Based Self Defense.
