Did you know that you can hunt elk in Arizona in Arizona every year, without getting drawn? Come hunt with us on OTC Rut hunts, Cow hunts, Bull hunts or our discounted any elk Resident hunts (for Arizona Residents only). August-March, and it doesn't count against your bonus points! We still have hunts available for 2026.

A little fuzzy top on the other side of the water and the amazing views that I get to enjoy every day in Winslow, Arizona! Hard to beat an Arizona sunset! I won't be doing any hunts this early due to the extreme temperatures we are currently experiencing, I do however have a hunt towards the end of the month and still have 2 hunts available in September, during the elk rut.

Another short scouting trip today and it did not disappoint! This young bull gave me some pretty close shots, unfortunately he heard the shutter of my Nikon D5oo and simply walked away. I'm starting to think the "D" in D500 stands for Dinosaur. Lol. The cows were out a bit farther and I didn't have enough daylight to work in on them, but that's okay, the cows are a bit more skittish this time of year and more vulnerable as they are still calving or have little ones. I only got pics of 3 cows but this group has around 8. Hopefully the other cows have calves with them. I'll try and get pictures of the babies on my next excursion.

A little early scouting, came across these two handsome fellas. Not a care in the world, just feeding. Gotta love when there isn't any hunting pressure, sat and watched them for about half an hour before they noticed me and even then they barely glanced at me.

August 16th-20th: River Queen, a five-day cow elk hunt starting at $3200.
September 14th-18th, or 21st-25th: Ruttin' on the River, a five-day bull elk hunt starting at $6300.
October 5th-9th: River Queen, a five-day cow elk hunt starting at $3200.
November 15th-21st: River King, a seven-day bull elk hunt starting at $7300.
December 7th-11th, or 16th-20th, River Queen, a five-day cow elk hunt starting at $3200.
All hunts are any elk, any weapon (Yes, you can use a rifle during the rut hunts or take a bull on a cow hunt if the opportunity arises). Some of the hunt dates are flexible and will be adjusted to your needs if possible. For those of you interested in the Resident River hunt (starting at $2800, 4-day hunt), you will have to check for availability. Congratulations John and Nikki on last week's successful OTC elk hunt! 2 elk in 5 days! Unfortunately we didn't get pictures of Nikki's elk as it was a late pack out and we had to retrieve her cow out of the river before it floated too far downstream. We did get a picture of it hanging at the processors. Thank you to Arlin at Rogers Custom Cuts LLC for processing all of our elk, you guy's always do an amazing job!

Congratulations, Joey on your first spike elk! The hunt may have been shorter than you expected but it was very memorable and you will have some excellent meat in the freezer.
