Does it sound scary or dangerous? Yes? I immediately want to do that thing๐Ÿ’ฅ!

I am sure deeper minds could fill me in on what this says about my character. But being challenged, particularly physically, lights my ๐Ÿ”ฅ!

Itโ€™s what brings me the most joy & fulfillment.

And not because I am not scared.๐Ÿ˜ฑ

But because I know that experience is going to teach me something. Itโ€™s going to change me in some very small way ... or maybe even a big way.

Yes, I do draw the line sometimes. There are obviously things that are beyond my current level of skill or ability. Or things I just donโ€™t want to do (like jump from a plane!)

But I donโ€™t let fear hold me back if thereโ€™s something I really want to do!

Thatโ€™s what I want for you too โ˜บ๏ธ.

I want you to be able to embrace that sometimes things arenโ€™t going to feel good, but do them anyway!

To live a do-something life, free from the limitations of fear & insecurity. On whatever level or in whatever capacity is right or best for you.

We are both very thankful for a career that helps people and promotes amazing health results!

How to make time work for youโฐ

I want to talk about time some more. Itโ€™s not just that itโ€™s on my brain lately โ€“ itโ€™s mostly that understanding time is super-important to managing your healthy lifestyle, which takes a little bit of time.โฐโฐ

Now, Iโ€™m not suggesting you take up permanent residence at the gym. ๐Ÿก You can incorporate more movement into your daily life in lots of ways. The key is to make a fitness plan and stick to it.

Hereโ€™s how:

โœ… Choose convenience. Find a gym that is close to you, pick a time that works for you.โฐ

โœ… Work out with a friend, or drag your best bro out of bed.๐Ÿ›Œ

โœ… Treat your workout time like any scheduled appointment. You wouldnโ€™t casually blow off a doctorโ€™s appointment. Give exercise the same importance.

โœ… Choose something fun. Studies (and common sense) tell us that people are more likely to make time for fitness when itโ€™s something they enjoy.

โœ… Forget about how you look and focus on how exercise makes you feel better โ€“ and live longer.

Truth post

I have a sweet tooth...๐Ÿฆท

I eat pizza and burgers every weekโ€ฆ๐Ÿ•๐Ÿ”

I eat ice cream almost dailyโ€ฆ๐Ÿฆ

Occasionally weโ€™ll bake some cookies and I eat those tooโ€ฆ๐Ÿช

Chocolate is my favorite!๐Ÿซ

Itโ€™s hard to admit but there was once a time when I thought I couldnโ€™t have those things.

In order to make progress or achieve the goal, I had to be perfect.๐Ÿ’ฏ

I thought I had to restrict, count, weigh, track, etcโ€ฆ1๏ธโƒฃ2๏ธโƒฃ3๏ธโƒฃ

Sacrifice.๐Ÿ’ฆ

Sacrifice more.๐Ÿ’ฆ๐Ÿ’ฆ

What Iโ€™ve learned along the way is that I donโ€™t need to do any of those things.

Sure, if I was training to be a professional bodybuilder that would be absolutely necessary.

But Iโ€™m not.

Iโ€™m training to be the heathy, happy and strong, to live my life to the fullest๐Ÿ˜€

I want to be a role model for my kiddos.๐Ÿ’ช

I want model healthy eating and exercise so they can love their bodies and feel confident and comfortable in who they are and what they look like.

I want to be able to play with and participate in every activity with them and not be short of breath or have to take a break or even feel like I canโ€™t do something with them. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ

Iโ€™m not interested in being on medication or developing diabetes (insert all other health related sickness)๐Ÿ’Š

The truth isโ€ฆ

You can eat pizza or have cookies and not feel bad about it.

You can eat those things and not be overweight.

You can eat those things and still lose weight, if thatโ€™s your goal.

You can feel good and confident and strong and enough despite eating less than perfect.

If you eat the good stuff 80-90% of the time you can afford to live a little.

Most of my meals consist of chicken, potatoes, vegetables, hamburger, steak, rice, all fruit, milk, and a whole bunch of single ingredient foods.

So I donโ€™t feel bad about having something that I enjoy!

๐Ÿ”ฅThereโ€™s a result you desire.

โ€จโ€จMaybe itโ€™s weight loss, maybe itโ€™s to achieve a specific lift or run your first 5k, or maybe itโ€™s to get off your blood pressure medication.

Whatever the goal is, what Iโ€™m going to talk about applies.โ€‹๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

โ€จโ€จIf you or someone you know has ever gone to extreme measures to lose weight โ€“ HCG injections, diet pills, surgery, starvation diets, etc โ€“ the chances are VERY small that they were successful.

And if they were, chances are that they couldnโ€™t sustain the result.

Iโ€™m going to tell you whyโ€ฆโ€จโ€จ

They were chasing a result while ignoring the process.โ€จโ€จ

To be successful with anything long term, whether itโ€™s nutrition, weight loss, fitness, business, performance โ€“ literally anything โ€“ you have to learn to fall in love with the process.

Itโ€™s not some grand action that gets you to lose 30 pounds.

Itโ€™s the accumulation of the choices you make each and every day โ€“ the PROCESS โ€“ that gets you to the RESULT, not the other way around.โ€จโ€จ

So if you ever find yourself frustrated with progress toward a desired outcome, be sure to stop and ask yourself โ€“ โ€œare the behaviors Iโ€™m practicing every single day going to lead to the result I desire?โ€

โ€จโ€จThe answer should be pretty clear.

And if the answer is โ€œnoโ€, what are you willing to change to make the answer โ€œyesโ€?

I fully acknowledge that habit change is HARD!

I donโ€™t suggest going for a full lifestyle overhaul all at once most of the time, but rather be conscious of the choices youโ€™re making each day knowing that each choice brings you closer to your goal or further from it.

Neutral choices donโ€™t exist.
