Saturday the 25th at 8:am.
We will be shooting the .22 Long Range match.
32 steel silhouettes, plus three, (maybe 4) bonus targets at 250.
The weather should be good, so no excuses.

Really good turnout for our Long Range .22 match.

15 shooters. Twitchy winds.

Once again beauty and grace prevails over youth and enthusiasm as David Griffith took the win with a score of 30. Jarrett Seidel was 1st runner up with 28, then Stan Norton, 27 and James Shipley 26/Brian Heard 26.

Great fun, thanks to all that came out and helped. It takes a village to put on a match, and I appreciate everyone that helps it run smoothly. 15 shooters and we were done and targets put up before 11:00.

Attention .22 Long Range shooters.
Unless the weather improves dramatically you're on your own for Saturday the 24th.
It's supposed to be 20 deg and sleeting.

We could have a polar bear 🐨 shoot, so if y'all want to shoot I'll keep score. From the office. With the heater going.

We'll watch it, but the weather guessers say it could be bad.

HO HO HOs to y’all.
We’ll all be ready to get out of the house by Saturday, so come out to the December .22 long range match.

We’ll be shooting the gongs, either 40 or 50 rounds depending on turnout and time.
Three sighters to get on at 250 then regular gongs.
No sighters after the first relay. Kids and old guys may get exemptions.

22 long range match this weekend Saturday the 22nd.

We’ll shoot regular silhouettes or gongs depending on weather and mud.

Be prepared for both. Gongs will require 50 rounds plus sighters.

Either way it will be such an amazing experience for you that it will change your life forever.

This is the regularly scheduled 22 Long Range match weekend. Apparently the weather could get
so we’ll need to play it by ear. I’m sure there will be somebody out there to shoot if the weather permits, but obviously, if it’s raining too hard, it will need to be rescheduled. Let’s be flexible folks.

We tried to have a rain shoot once, but it didn’t work out very well. If it’s too bad this weekend we’ll just reschedule.

It was a good day to be a .22 shooter.

The winds were good and temps cool. We had 12 shooters, three of them new to the .22 Long Range game.

There was some outstanding shooting, with Jarrett Seidel and Ross Milliken both shooting 29 out of 30 targets, and then both hitting all three bonus target at 250 yards. That’s one hit each on an 8, 6, and 4” target at 250 yds. Outstanding shooting.

Jarrett took the overall win in a shoot off, with Ross second.

Wayne Lass was 3rd with a 29, and Ned Muse came on strong with a 28.

As the ancient philosopher said, the sun don’t shine on the same dog’s butt everyday. Some good shooters had trouble today,but everyone had fun I hope.

We had three new shooters who all shot well. All three new shooters shot in the 20’s. Chris shot well with his semi. We’re going to have to toughen the targets up, but we will still make it user friendly for new shooters and kids.

Thanks to all who helped set up targets, run the match and especially those of you who generously help the other shooters, even when we’re all competing.

.22 Long Range Silhouette tomorrow April 26th at the club.
730-8 am setup, will shoot as quickly thereafter to beat the rain.
30, yes, 30 silhouettes plus bonus targets for the low, low, price of $5.00.

Just to confirm we WILL NOT BE SHOOTING THE .22 LONG RANGE MATCH THIS WEEKEND.

We are pushing it to the next weekend, hopefully the weather will be better.
