Warhawks 14U Green close out an unforgettable season. One defined by consistency, resilience, and championship-level play.

The final result at Nationals didn’t go the way we had hoped, but finishing 9th in the country is an accomplishment this group should be proud of. Competing on that stage is earned, and this team proved all season long that they belong among the best.

And the season as a whole speaks for itself.

In 68 games, the Warhawks finished with a record of 51–13–4, scoring 192 goals while allowing just 63, a number that reflects the team’s defensive structure, commitment, and elite goaltending throughout the year. (And even that number is slightly inflated when accounting for shootout formats.)

This group didn’t just win, they earned it every step of the way:

• NIHL President’s Cup
• NIHL 14U National Division Champions
• AHAI 14U Tier II Illinois State Champions
• USA Hockey Central District Champions

From start to finish, this was a team that showed up, competed, and grew together. A group defined not just by results, but by how they played the game with discipline, toughness, and a commitment to each other.

There’s a lot to be proud of, and a lot that this group will carry forward.

An incredible season.

Warhawks 14U Green are in Rochester, Michigan competing at the USA Hockey National Championships — battling through round robin play with a spot in the quarterfinals on the line.

Day 1 – Warhawks 4, Canton Blades 5 (OT)
The Warhawks opened against the #4 ranked Canton Blades and jumped out to an early 2–0 lead. Canton responded, and the game turned into a back-and-forth battle through the third period. Canton tied it late at 4–4, sending the game to a 10-minute 3-on-3 sudden-death overtime, where Canton found the winner. The Warhawks earned 1 point from a hard-fought opener.

Day 2 – Warhawks 2, Philadelphia Little Flyers 1
Another tight matchup, but this time the Warhawks came out on top. Controlling much of the play and holding a shot advantage, the Warhawks capitalized with two goals while limiting Philadelphia to one. A strong, composed performance earned a regulation win and 3 points in the standings.

Day 3 – Warhawks vs Connecticut Mid Fairfield Stars
The final round robin matchup is set for tomorrow against Connecticut Mid Fairfield Stars.

A win puts the Warhawks into the quarterfinals on Saturday, with everything on the line in the final pool play game.

A MONUMENTAL MILESTONE FOR THE NORTH SHORE WARHAWKS FAMILY! 🔥

For the first time in the proud history of the North Shore Warhawks girls’ hockey program, both the 14U Green and 16U Green squads have qualified for the 2026 USA Hockey Girls Tier II National Championships in the same season. After dominating the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois (AHAI) Tier II regular season to capture the Presidents Trophy and then claiming the state championship titles on March 2 at Mount Prospect Ice Arena, the two teams traveled to St. Louis, Missouri, and emerged as Central States District Champions at the USA Hockey Central District Championships (March 7-9, 2026).

The Road to Nationals

14U Green: True resilience & heart! Shutout 2-0 vs Lady Liberty, 4-1 vs St. Jude, although losing 4-2 to WEHL clinched the district championship with 6 pts, 8 GF, 5 GA.

16U Green: Undefeated 3-0 run! 8-0 shutout vs Lady Liberty, 5-2 vs Omaha Lady Lancers, 2-0 vs WEHL Western. 9 pts, 15 GF, 2 GA.
