This Weekend in Renoβ¦ π
Team Loyalty brought five fighters to the IKF PMT event and returned with five medals π₯
Ryatt started us off by fighting an older and more experienced teen, showing courage and determination, then came back more focused and composed after that first loss and won his second match of the day. π₯
Mikey was up next. Dominated as usual, attacking and countering his whole first fight and not giving his opponent any chances to get his game going. He showed a lot of grit after taking two separate knees to the groin in the clinch and still pushing through. He came back later that day and had another great performance in an exhibition match and was seldom scored on. He was in the zone π
PJ fought an opponent much younger, taller, and heavier for three rounds, and was nearly untouchable by the third. He was all worried and nerved up all day because of how the fight looked on paper, but afterwards realized there was no need to be nervous. The tank from Lovelock, NV conquered once again. π
Brendan was putting on a dominant performance, winning the positions, keeping his opponent off balance, countering sharp and often, and landing quick and sharp combos until he cracked his foot on his opponents head. Weβre hoping for a quick recovery for our newest team member. π
Jeremiah worked on the combos he wanted to get reps on and paid homage to Sensei Ludwig by throwing a crane kick in his match. He finished round one with a ten piece combo ending in a sweep, and his opponent decided not to continue. π§Ή
Coach Seth was once again being the greatest coach ever, making sure we had accommodations, food, and the advice we needed this weekend. We appreciate all you do π
Jack and Juan did an excellent job helping to run the event, and we thank them for their hard work and focus throughout the day. Also, thank you to Rafael for all your dedication to PMT and PBSC and helping everyone develop their skills in this league π
