Meet Lindsay!
Lindsay is such a great example of listening to your body and giving it what it needs, even if it wasn’t fully in the plan for that day! Thank you Linds for always bringing great energy to the gym and showing up for YOU, whatever that looks like that day!
My fitness journey really started in high school when I began taking sports more seriously. That foundation eventually led me to play volleyball in college where my discipline and love for training grew even stronger! After college, my life did a complete 360, and I fell off from exercising almost entirely.
In the beginning, my goals were simple: I wanted to feel more confident in my own skin, and take care of my mental health. Over time those goals have grown into something much bigger! I’m building long term habits, pushing my limits, and proving to myself that I can be disciplined, consistent, and proud of the person I’m becoming. It’s evolved from trying to fix myself to learning how to truly show up for myself.
About 2 years ago, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease. Learning my limits, dealing with inflammation triggers, and accepting that some days look different has been frustrating (and honestly discouraging at times). But I’m lucky I’ve got an amazing coach who helps modify things when I need it. It’s taught me to listen to my body and give myself grace.
Honestly, my nutrition glow up have been a whole journey by itself. It’s taken me awhile to figure out what actually fuels me - especially with Crohns and what send my body into chaos. Once I started eating with intention, choosing foods my gut actually likes, and ditching things that trigger inflammation, everything changed. My overall health finally feels like it’s working with me instead of against me.
Listen to your body! Some days you’ll feel unstoppable, and others you’ll need modifications - and both are okay. Stay consistent and build a routine that supports YOUR health, not someone else’s highlight reel.
My lifestyle feels more intentional, my energy is better, and I actually look forward to moving my body. I trust myself more, I’m more confident, and I show up in every part of my life with way more strength - mentally and physically.
Favorite exercises: Deadlifts & cleans!
Least favorite: My least favorite “exercise” isn’t even a workout LOL. It’s a warm up. Rollercoasters. You can absolutely count on me doing about half of whatever # Katy tells us to do of those. And wall walks? Not been a friend of mine lately.
