Meet the McGann Fam Mondays!

Brady is 22 and the youngest twin but only by a minute😉 He has always loved being outside and active. Whether it was sports, fishing, or hunting, Brady loved to be active. In high school, he played football, basketball, wrestling and track. He made it to the Idaho state track meet 2 years in a row for long jump and triple jump! He has hunted since he was little and the toughest was the beautiful caribou he took in Alaska last summer.

He went on to college to study welding for a year. After that, he moved to Texas where he a worked construction building/welding metal structures. He also has a Texas white Dahl herd.

At the hunting ranch, Brady guides, cleans/processes animals, fills feeders, books hunts and helps anywhere he is needed. He’s also an excellent tracker!

Meet the McGann’s Monday!!

This week, get to know Carter McGann. Carter, grew up hunting and fishing. He was always outside. He loves to bow hunt. He has hunted in many states, Washington, Idaho, Texas, Alaska and Hawaii.

Besides hunting and fishing, Carter loved sports. He played football, basketball, wrestling and track. In high school, he won all league for football and competed in the Idaho State Championship 2 years in a row for pole vault placing 4th in the state his senior year.

Carter graduated Lewis and Clark State College with an automotive mechanic’s certificate. After college, he worked as a mechanic for a little while and then switched gear to the construction industry, where he currently works now. Carter owns his own cattle, and is growing his herd each year.

At the ranch, Carter helps guide, clean animals, fill feeders, book hunts and any other jobs that need to be done.

Meet the McGann’s Monday!!

This week is Garrett McGann! Garrett is Jack and Tina’s first born. He’s been around the outdoors and hunting since he was a baby. Jack and Tina would put him in a backpack and trek him along hunting and fishing. He’s now hunted all over the US!

Growing up he loved sports with football being his favorite. He played left guard since the 5th grade. He also was very involved with FFA raising hogs and steers and being President of his chapter. He earned a state FFA degree at 17. He started a cattle and livestock business when he was a senior in high school and still runs it today.

After high school, he went into the electrical field for 2 years before moving to Texas to be a hunting guide. He’s guided all over Southern and West Texas.

In 2023, he married his beautiful wife Bailey. In 2024, they welcomed their first child, Kaysen. He keeps them on their toes, now being almost 2! They are expecting a baby girl in December!

Garrett currently works as a taxidermist. He’s staying busy and takes pride in his work!

At Whiskey & Racks, he helps book hunts, guide hunters, fill feeders, process animals and any other jobs where he is needed.

We still have some spots in the Spring available to book but we are filling up fast! Let’s get those dates locked in!

Well, I missed Meet the McGann Fam Monday so it is Meet Tina Tuesday! 😂

Tina, like Jack, grew up in Massachusetts. She was born in March but adopted by the best family in July of 81. The story is they picked her up from the orphanage and took her straight to the beach! It’s probably why she loves the beach so much!

She grew up fishing a lot but not hunting. She loved playing sports and doing anything active. In high school she played field hockey and track. She played one year of college field hockey which is her favorite sport! As an adult, she loves to travel! Her favorite is cruising, cause how could you not love the ocean and all the yummy food! 😊Jack and Tina just got back in April from a transatlantic cruise to Spain! She also loves being a Nana! One grandson keeps her busy with a granddaughter on the way in December! 💙💗

Tina married Jack in 2001 and they have 3 sons. Garrett(24) and twins Carter and Brady(22). As the kids grew, she took on many roles in the community. She was on the PTA board for many years, elected to the school board for 9, sat on the community center board, co-led the youth football organization for many years and then co-led the high school football foundation. Tina loved giving back to the community and the kiddos in it.

Tina did not grow up hunting. She started hunting 10 years ago when the boys started to hunt more. It was an activity that the whole family could do together😊 She harvested her first deer in South Texas and she was hooked!

Tina’s role at Whiskey and Racks is hospitality. She’s in charge of cooking, cleaning, and buying swag. She also fills in where needed, whether that’s guiding, processing animals or fillin’ feeders. Her favorite part is cooking sweet treats for everyone. She loves to try new things but her favorite is making cheesecake! She also loves meeting all the amazing people that come to the ranch. She loves seeing families come and hunt together, because those are some of her best memories of her fam.

Meet the McGann Fam Mondays!

Whiskey and Racks Hunting Ranch is family owned and operated by Jack, Tina and their 3 sons, daughter in law and grandson(and soon to be granddaughter due in December 😁).

We’ve had a lot of new followers to our page so we thought it would be fun to share a little bit about those who make the ranch run successfully! So every Monday we will share a little bit about our fam.

As always, we so appreciate all our hunters and look forward to a great 2026-2027 season! We have 1 date left in October, 1 in December and we are starting to book for Spring 2027!

So this Monday, let’s start with Jack.

Jack was born in Massachusetts. He first learned how to hunt with his Dad. He quickly fell in love with the outdoors, hunting, fishing and eating what he harvested! In high school he played basketball and ran track. He was part of multiple #1 in state cross country teams. After high school, he became a licensed electrician and now owns McGann Electric LLC up in Washington State focusing on commercial electrical work.

Jack and Tina began dating at age 15 and have been together ever since! They have 3 sons-Garrett(24), Carter(22) and Brady(22) and 2 dogs Koda and Sophie. They also have a daughter in law-Bailey(24) and a grandson Kaysen(almost 2) and a granddaughter on the way. They own property in Winters, TX where they have a large garden, goats, sheep, turkeys, chickens, ducks and pigs! This property keeps them busy when they are not at the hunting ranch!

Both Jack and Tina grew up in Massachusetts, lived in Washington state for 22 years, Idaho for 4 and have been in Texas for 3. Jack has hunted in every state he’s lived in and has loved each place for different reasons although I think he likes Texas the best😁 He has also hunted in Florida, North Carolina, Hawaii and Alaska!

On the hunting ranch, Jack is in charge of the animals health, animal procurement, does ranch maintenance, guides, is the grill/fire pit master and much more.

His favorite thing about the ranch is meeting all the different people from around the country, hearing their stories and seeing their smiles when they harvest their animals. He loves hunting and to share that with others is his favorite part!

It’s July 1st and we are almost fully booked for the fall! If you’re thinking of hunting with us this season, please reach out so we can lock in your dates. We currently have October 15-18th, 22-25th available. November is fully booked. December we have the 10-13th and New years weekend. Looking forward to hunting with ya’ll this season!!
