🦆 2025–2026 DUCK SEASON RECAP 🦆
First things first: THANK YOU to everyone who hunted with us this season. Whether you limited out or had to grind for every bird, we appreciate every single group that trusted us to put them on ducks.
We thrive on honesty.
Not every hunt was perfect:
• 2 hunts we blanked
• 2 hunts with 2 birds
• 5 hunts with 6 birds or less
Every one of those groups were only charged their deposit and given the option to reschedule, because that’s how we stand behind what we offer.
Now let’s talk about what really matters 🔥
We ran 55 groups this season. We had some straight jam up hunts, and while this year brought more of those 10–20 bird hunts, we never stopped pushing. Warm weather, lower bird numbers hurt, from having to move clients around to constantly hoping for a front kept us on our toes. We stayed after them every single day and kept working to put birds in front of our clients.
And the biggest win? What we learned.
Different hunting styles.
Different blind setups.
Different ways to limit pressure.
If you stay stagnant, you rust and we refuse to rust.
We’ve got multiple offseason projects already rolling, all focused on one thing: holding MORE waterfowl next season 👀 If the Lord is willing we
will see y’all again for TEAL SEASON in September and the new BLACK-BELLIED WHISTLING DUCK SEASON in Louisiana this October!

Well… this was the weekend of the freeze.
Friday morning we kicked things off with one group that put together 12 ducks and a goose, so spirits were high and expectations were up heading into the weekend.
Saturday morning we ran two groups. For the first time all season, one group completely blanked, while the other group scratched out 8 birds. We headed back out that afternoon and managed to add 7 more to the bag.
Sunday morning was a 2 totally opposite hunts. One group had a great shoot, finishing with 31 birds, while the other group blanked… twice in what was supposed to be the best weekend of the year when we haven’t blanked twice in a weekend in 4 years. That afternoon, for the final hunt of the season, everything finally came together. New birds were pouring in, droves of them flying through the snow, and we finished the season strong by killing our limit.
All in all, this was by far the most difficult and challenging duck season we’ve had in our 4 years of business. It tested us every step of the way; but we adapted, learned, and grew because of it. We’ve got some big things in store for next season and can’t wait to show y’all what’s coming.
Season recap post coming later this week 👀🦆

We are still pushing to the end. We had 2 groups this morning, one group had a decent hunt and the other group killed 2, looks like the front brought birds that just kept going after Friday. Hopefully this weather this weekend allows us to end a hard season on a high note. 🦆

Well yesterday we were kings, today not so much. The birds we had around yesterday were gone today. One group killed 8 and the other killed 2. It’s been a very frustrating season but we will keep after it through the end.
If you have a trip on the books with us, I will be contacting you a few days before the hunt with a scouting report just like we do everytime and in the event of a bad hunt we always discount the hunt atleast 50% and offer new dates. I will not taking any new bookings through the end of season unless birds show up🦆

It’s amazing what a good front and some weather will do!
This morning we ran two groups, and the birds absolutely showed up.
After scouting yesterday morning, we had birds on one tank and not much anywhere else. I was honest with the one group and told them the birds weren’t looking great. They still said, “Let’s give it a try,” after I assured them we’d take care of them if the hunt went south just like we ALWAYS do. I’m sure glad I was wrong.
Pintail, wigeon, gadwall, mallards, and Canada geese all hit the dirt this morning, and both groups had very strong hunts. When conditions line up, it can get good in a hurry. 🦆

Man, what a great kids’ weekend! 🦌
We had five kids, all chasing their first ever deer, and it couldn’t have gone any better.
Everyone rolled into the lodge Friday, got rifles sighted in, and while that was happening Uncle Gus was holding it down with some good ol’ pastalaya, setting the tone for the weekend right away.
Saturday morning brought high winds and some bedded-down deer, but the kids stayed patient and we still managed to get one on the ground.
Saturday afternoon was a whole different story. Every kid tagged one, the celebration kicked off, faces got painted, and the stories from the hunt started flying. Watching these kids and their parents create lifelong memories: the smiles, the excitement, even a few happy tears, really puts into perspective how lucky we are to do this every single day.
It was a long season, but getting to watch these kids take their first deer is a memory we’ll never forget. 🏹🦌
Thank you to all the guides that volunteered their time and weekend to help these kids get on their first one as well as the land owners who allowed us to hunt their property. It took a village and we sure have a great one!

This weekend was much like last, good numbers of birds most mornings, just coming in all together or too early. Either way, we’re still stacking together some solid days and holding out for that next push! 🦆🔥
We’ll be posting all the photos from the kids’ deer hunt weekend later tonight, so keep an eye out, some awesome memories made.

We’re still grinding. Early week was the slowest it’s been all season, but things are turning around and we’re seeing more birds each day. This crew filled their 3 man limit of GWT, while the geese teased the other group by landing just outside the spread.
Back after them tomorrow, stay tuned 🦆
