🏆The Pelly People came out ready to play during last weekend’s annual Club Championship. The two-day event featured 114 players across 10 flights and witnessed four people win their gross flights for the first time.

🤠Current Wyoming Cowboy Men’s golfer Kellen Ball captured the championship flight with scores of 66-69 (135). Ball’s 9-under finish is the second-lowest two-day score in the championship’s history and was two shots better than 2025 champion Cole Krantz.

🏌🏽‍♀️The women’s division was won by recent Resurrection Christian Schools graduate Karina Garcia. Her two-day score of 153 (77-76) was three better than two-time winner Ellie Peterson.

🏌Taking home the Senior Blue Flight (50-and-over) was former University of South Colorado (Pueblo) men’s golfer Geoff Henson. Henson fired an even par 72 the first day and a 73 on Sunday to beat second-place finisher Mike Prestel by six strokes.

The Senior White Flight (60-and-over) was won by Larry Richard with scores of 81-83 (164).

The championship weekend kicked off on Friday with the annual Jr. Club Championship. Winning the Windsor High School Boys’ Division was Bryce Homann with a 75. Walker Strohman won the Boys’ 18-hole division with a 76. McKenna Hersh was the victor in the Girls’ 14-17 year old division with an 89 and Will Hungenberg won the Boys’ 9-hole division with a 45.

🏆 The annual Pelican Lakes Member-Guest, “The Pelly,” featured some hot weather and scorching hot golf. A three-hole, three-team playoff was needed after the finals shootout to determine the winner. Taking home The Pelly trophy on Saturday was member Scott Steger (right, 1st pic) and his guest Adam Diel.

The four-day event kicked off on Wednesday with an alternate shot horserace, which was won by the father-son duo of Mark (left, 3rd pic) and Corey Manicone. Thank you to all of our sponsors and participants for making this tournament another unforgettable one! ⛳️
