Wakefield Tennis Group Wakefield Tennis is a group of tennis players that play five days a week during spring, summer & fall outside. We welcome all levels. Tennis Anyone.

Tennis in the Leakin Park is crowded during the spring, summer, and fall. In 1977, two sisters who are retired now decided they needed a sport to keep them occupied. All through tennis was played out Druid Hill where the courts were integrated in 1948. They looked around for courts that were not crowded. For all 30 years youths, men and women have been playing at the Wakefield courts.

Michael Murray. He was born 12/19/47 and passed today, 9/16/24. He will be truly missed.

Wylie Funeral Home on Liberty Road. The viewing will be held on Thursday, Oct. 3
from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. Family and close friends can come at 5 p.m. The funeral will be held on Friday, Oct. 4. The wake will be from 9:00 -
9:30 a.m. The funeral will be from 9:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Burial will be at Garrison
Forest Cemetary at 11:30
a.m. followed by a repast.

The Wakefield Picnic will be coordinated by Jackie this year. The picnic will be held on Saturday, October 5th. If you would like to volunteer to help at the picnic let Jackie or myself know. The time of the ocnc is noon to dusk. The court will be open from pay before noon.
