Strong Poss-Abilities Inc. Strong Poss-Abilities Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit Personal Training and Fitness Studio Specializing in servicing the Special Needs Community.

We offer in Home training, group classes and 1-on-1 Personal Training. Strong Poss-Abilities, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to work with special needs young adults. The vision of Strong Poss-Abilities is to create a space that enables the development of athleticism for the special needs and disabilities community. In the special needs community there are many resources for ch

ildren and teens. Unfortunately, when they turn 18, these resources are no longer available. With Strong Poss-Abilities, individuals will have a place they can call home and safely fill the physical outlet that this community is desperately missing. There will be one-on-one personal training, assisted stretching, massage, yoga, and small group classes. There is also a plan to work closely with Special Olympics Connecticut to train athletes for their events. Tessa Eichelberger is a Certified Personal Trainer with a passion for Special Needs Specific Training. All of her continuing education focuses on athletic instruction of these young adults. She is currently building a team that will work hand-in-hand with her vision and expand the practice. Today is National Denim Day!

Every year, people across the country pull on their favorite jeans for a cause that goes beyond fashion. National Denim Day is not just about celebrating this durable fabric but raising awareness about the impact of sexual violence and showing solidarity with survivors.

๐Ÿ”น Why Denim? The origin of Denim Day traces back to a 1999 court case in Italy, where a r**e conviction was overturned because the victim was wearing tight jeans. The judges ruled that she must have helped her attacker remove her jeans, implying consent. This sparked worldwide outrage, and wearing jeans became a symbol of protest against misconceptions and stereotypes surrounding sexual assault.

๐Ÿ”น Todayโ€™s Call to Action: By wearing denim today, we stand with survivors and educate ourselves and others about the myths that often surround sexual assault. Denim Day reminds us to support, listen to, and believe survivors, and to work together towards a world free of sexual violence.

๐Ÿ”น How to Participate: All you have to do is wear your denim proudly, educate those around you, and if you can, support an organization you like. It can either be local or national. Every conversation, every donation, and every show of support counts!

We learned how the PNS connects our brain and spinal cord to the rest of our body, handling everything from feeling a breeze to digesting food. Today, we're shifting focus to the powerhouse at the center of it all: the Central Nervous System!

๐Ÿง  What's the CNS All About?
The CNS consists of the brain and the spinal cord, and it acts as the control center for our entire body. Hereโ€™s what it does:

Brain Brilliance:

Processing Power: It processes every piece of information received through our senses.
Emotional Center: It controls our emotions and thoughts.
Decision Maker: It makes decisions based on the information received and sends out commands.

Spinal Cordโ€™s Role:

Communication Line: It relays information between the brain and the body.
Reflex Actions: It handles quick reflexes that protect us from immediate danger, like pulling your hand back from a hot surface.
