Streamers were on the meal ticket today, smallmouth were very active on minnows. Chasing in the w**d beds, slack water, and hanging around log structure. Mondays are for fishing.

Philip Gimple, superintendent of the Strasburg Water Treatment Plant, said the North Fork of the Shenandoah River at Strasburg had fallen to 112 cubic feet per second, below the previous low of 161 recorded in 1942. That fact hung over the Shenandoah County Water Resource Advisory Committee's May 13 meeting as officials described conditions at or beyond the worst on record, with little recovery in sight.
