Dear Wi******er Youth Soccer League Families,
Today marks the final whistle for the Wi******er Youth Soccer League (WYSL). While it is bittersweet to move on from a name we have carried for over two decades, we take this moment to reflect on our core mission: teaching soccer fundamentals while fostering teamwork, sportsmanship, and a genuine love for the game.
Our league has always prioritized a safe, fun environment built on the belief that integrity wins. True value cannot be bought or pocketed; the real wealth of this league has always been laying right where it belongs: with the children on the field, which is a treasure beyond measure. True accountability always comes to light, and we extend our sincere gratitude to every family who stood by us and kept their hearts invested in this program.
Our U-14 and U-19 Wolves finished this historic season exactly as WYSL intended: with class, grit, and absolute integrity at the Kentucky American Cup in Elizabethtown this past weekend! We are incredibly proud of these teams for proving that real success requires no shortcuts—just dedication, a love for the game, and playing strictly by the rules. Both teams brought home runner-up medals and represented us with immense resilience. A special thank you to Coach Mitch and Coach Rob for stepping up with incredible leadership, guiding these athletes with honor, and providing the true mentorship they deserved.
We are so proud that the WYSL name finishes on such a high, honorable note. Some know we were in a pile of ashes for a bit, but we rose up and trudged through muddy brown waters. We drew the conclusion to fight through any gray areas bravely, and now we hand off the torch to WSC with good integrity.
Although the name on the jersey can legally change, the very same green fields, smiling faces, and pure passion for the sport will be waiting for us this fall. We look forward to a bright, honest, and exciting future together.
