Virginia/USA Wrestling Virginia USA Wrestling is the Virginia state chapter of USA Wrestling Virginia Wrestling Association, Inc. In 1983, the U.S.

(VAWA) is the state chapter of USA Wrestling in the commonwealth of Virginia. In 2014 VAWA’s membership consisted of over 6,900 athletes, coaches and officials ranging from wrestlers as young as five years old to coaches and officials in their seventies. VAWA is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) corporation that provides people of any age, s*x, creed or ability level with the opportunity to compete, coach a

nd officiate in the great sport of wrestling on a local, regional, national or international stage. USA Wrestling is the Olympic sport organization for amateur wrestling in the U.S. Since 1969, USA Wrestling has strived to reach new heights and has guided America’s teams to great achievements. Olympic Committee designated USA Wrestling as the National Governing Body for the sport, assigning it all responsibilities of managing the Olympic wrestling team and of the grassroots efforts for freestyle, Greco-Roman and women’s freestyle wrestling.
