This is not official minutes from last nights meeting, but wanted to jot down a few things spoke about at the May meeting.
We were late getting started due to a large group of folks right in the middle of our room having dinner. They cleared out about 17 minutes after the hour. We then had 10 members left/present for the May meeting. We really enjoyed the evening talking about last months meeting and boaters insurance etc.. Then on to the special tourney that some our members went to over at Watts Barr a few weeks ago. We discussed having a tourney similar to that in the future for members only which is basically a 1 fish or big fish per hour tourney with nobody knowing who won what till end of day. Not sure when or how that may take place but most likely would be best on Woods so more folks would have a fish each hour they wanted to weigh. We had the blue ticket drawing last night and it was for $30 tourney entry which was won by Jamie Johnson. We sold tickets for a 16 ft rod at the meeting and Mr. Lowrance won that. We talked about the tourney tomorrow at Tims and that there is a good many in the 2 lb pot now. I am thinking it was $340 total. We are allowed to leave tomorrow at 5:45 AM and we are scheduled to fish until 1 PM. If you didnt know, we had a tourney back on July 4th last year, ended up being one of the best weigh-ins of the year so maybe this one will have lots of good fished weighed in as well. Good luck to all who fish tomorrow. Last time we fished this lake in May, Robert/Larry won the tourney with 6.27. and big fish was 2.03 pounds.
