JV Bulls Weekly Recap🐂

The FTB Academy JV Bulls packed a lot of action into the week, showing flashes of explosive offense and resilience across three games.

The week started Tuesday at The Grove with a doubleheader against TNXL Academy National. The Bulls came out swinging in Game 1, jumping on TNXL early and never letting up on their way to a 15–9 win. Diego Velazquez and Henry Graser sparked the offense in the opening frame, while Ayden Gonzalez and Graser each added doubles to keep the pressure on. The lineup showed outstanding discipline at the plate, drawing 12 walks, led by Byron Torres with three. The Bulls also stayed aggressive on the bases, swiping six bags, including multiple steals from Torres and Ely Acosta.
On the mound, Graser struck out five over 3⅓ innings, with Grayson Rice coming in to help finish off the win.

Game two turned into a battle. TNXL struck first with a three-run homer, but the Bulls immediately responded with a seven-run first inning fueled by RBIs from Gage Konopka, Ely Acosta, Diego Velazquez, Ayden Gonzalez, Traysen Bridges, Jarrett Bowling, and Henry Graser. TNXL fought back late to even things up, and the game ended 8–8 when time expired. Konopka and Acosta each collected two hits, and the Bulls defense came through with a key double play to slow TNXL’s momentum.

Later in the week, the Bulls traveled to West Hernando to take on the Clubhouse Commanders JV. FTB struck first with an RBI single from Velazquez, but the Commanders answered quickly and used a big second and third inning to pull away. Despite a strong 2-for-2 day at the plate from Velazquez, the Bulls fell 11–1. Defensively the team remained solid, turning a double play and committing zero errors, with Torres leading the way in the field.
