WJAA girls softball finished the year strong!! 💪

⭐️ The 10U Peaches, sponsored by Coco Bennies made it to the first round of playoffs. The Peaches were 3rd place in the West division. They fought hard in the playoffs and lost to Peterborough 11-12 in the 5th inning.
⭐️The 12U Belles, sponsored by Goof Troop, also made it to playoffs. The Belles were the 2nd place team in the West division. After winning the first round against Hollis 14-12, the Belles moved onto the championship against Milford. The Belles fought hard against Milford, playing an amazing game of Softball. Unfortunetly, they fell short in the 5th inning losing 8-9. The Belles are the runner ups for the West 12U division.
⭐️The 8U Lassies, sponsored by the Wilton-Lyndeborough Woman's Club finishes out their season tomorrow June 13th.
🥎 It was a great season of softball! 🥎

A HUGE Thank you to our volunteers, coaches, parents and sponsors for helping to make this season a great one!

Edited for Two Photo Nights:
Attention T-Ball, Rookie, and Majors Baseball Players.

Picture Night ONE is going to be this Friday (5/22) at GOSS Park's Baseball Field.
Access is off Stoney Brook Dr.

ALSO: The Clinton Lodge No 52 F&AM will be there grilling food for everyone!

The Majors Warriors have a game starting at 5:45. They will be doing their photos first. Majors families, please arrive early.

Other teams can start at 5:30.
Individuals who cannot make Picture Night TWO can do their personal photos on this night.

I didn't realize that T-Ball families did not have games this weekend. My mistake and I apologize. I was acting quickly because I was told the Clinton Lodge would be cooking at the Major's final game this Friday and knew Rookies all had games this weekend and it sounded like a fun night...But it's Memorial Day Weekend too.

That said - We can do two picture nights.
Photo Night TWO will be next Friday the 29th at FRES starting at 5:30 pm.
T-ball and Rookie teams that could not get a majority gathered for night one can make this their team photo night. Any individuals who still want their own photos can also use this night if needed.

Action Item:
Your head coach needs to decide what night works best for the team as a whole. Please communicate with them on your availability for either night.
They need to report back to me on the night their team will be showing up for the team photo.

Hope this helps.
Thank you,
Jon Lavoie

All Star Season is starting early this year.
We’ve seen great growth in the MCAA All-Star program over the past few years and our WJAA players have been a big part of it. We're excited to continue building on that success this season.

If your player is interested in competing at a higher level and participating in summer tournaments, we strongly encourage them to attend tryouts.

We will be holding tryouts for the following age groups: 9U, 10U, and 11U. We understand this is short notice, but with the challenges from weather earlier this season, we need to move quickly to ensure teams are selected in time for uniform orders and tournament registrations.

Tryout Details: All at MCAA Fields on North River Rd.

Date: Sunday, April 19

9U: 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM @ Perham Field
10U: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM @ Perham Field
11U: 4:30 PM - 6:00 PM @ Perham Field
RSVP REQUIRED FOR TRYOUTS

To properly plan evaluations, field usage, and team selection, all families MUST RSVP if their player plans to attend tryouts. Please contact the appropriate coach listed below as soon as possible to confirm attendance.

If your player is interested but unable to attend, you should still RSVP and contact the appropriate coach below:

Jim Wickham (9U): [email protected]

Tyler Bishop (10U): [email protected]

Frank DeFranco (11U): [email protected]

Some information on the MCAA All Stars :

-Cost of the program is TBD. Last year was $360

-Entry fee gets you a full uniform kit with jersey, pants, belt, socks, and a hat. This is not the typical rec uniform. It is a high quality uniform that rivals any high school uniforms in the area. Will also have your last name on the back.

-Entry into 2 invitational tournaments, one in Swanzey and one in Hollis along with entry to the Cal Ripken District tournament. If your team advances through Districts (which many have in the last couple years), entry to the State Tournament is also included.

-We will also schedule some individual single games or double headers. Teams in the past few years have played anywhere from 15-24 games throughout the season depending on how far they advance.

-Swanzey Invitational

9U & 11U- 6/4/26-6/8/26
10U & 12U - 6/10/26-6/15/26

-District Tournament

@ Nashua, NH

10U District West 6/19/26-6/28/26

11U District West 6/19/26-6/28/26
@ TBD

-The 2026 Cam Ricard Souhegan Valley
