So we just fished what I think was our 15th straight WHI Fishing Tournament. Our own anniversary perhaps but I think it all started in 2011 for the WHI. Hats off to the boys. Andrew, Harry, Mike #13 and Ron. We pre-fished hard Thursday and Friday for a couple hours each day in search of our best waters. Went back both tournament days in search of that kicker fish that were among the cookie cutters. We stayed competitive each day but never saw that kicker fish. We fished amongst the best that make a living everyday on Lady O. This Breakaway Fishing Charter team was one of the best out there in a record low number of teams entered. A lot of fun again as that had disappeared for years. Love these guys and a shout out to our new sponsors of and LuckyStrikeCigarettes. You will see me wearing chest pocket tees on the dock this year. Friend of the friendless but need to acknowledge that crew!

And that’s a wrap…Fished four straight days over Labor Day. Saw many fish hit the deck. Some for clients. Some with friends. Thanks to everyone that supported the Breakaway this year. Thanks to those that helped out when help was needed. Looking forward to 2026 but we have some busy days ahead of us before we get there.
