It's Hockey Night in Wilmington once again boys and girls! Tonight your Islanders take on their long time rivals in what looks to be a rough and chippy contest.

The Cows won the last matchup but the Isles lead the season series by a game. It is always a marquee matchup when these two teams meet! The finesse game of the Cows and the physical game of the Isles always makes for a thrilling show!

Bring the whole family! Games are always free and fun for everyone. Puck drop is at 8:30pm at the Wilmington Icehouse!! See you at the rink!

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Game Night!

Tonight is a marquee matchup that is sure to keep fans on their feet all night long. The new formed rivalry of UNCW and the Islanders is a heated one that requires extra time in almost every meeting. Fast paced and gritty end to end action is what's on the menu for tonight's contest.

Star forward Scott MacDonald is back in the line-up tonight after missing last weeks game due to a mid-season call-up. I'm sure Isles fans will be glad to see him back in familiar blue and orange tonight!

Keys to the game tonight:

The Isles need to be tough in their own zone tonight. They must keep pucks out of the middle and keep shots to the outside against this fast and shifty UNCW squad.

On the attack, the Isles must get lots of pucks in deep and on net.

League leading goaltender in all categories, Brian Rostholder, must have another solid game between the pipes.

As usual, it is the Isles game to win or lose.

Tonight's contest is the WAHL Game of the Week and it is a guaranteed good time for the whole family! Puck drop is at 8:30pm.

The Cows took on NCBI in search of their first win against them tonight since March 2, 2015. Brian Rostholder in his return as NCBI's netminder closed the door on that effort as NCBI shut out the Cows 3-0 in this seasons opener. Side note... The opener was a rematch of last seasons championship game.

The Isles played in their first tournament together this weekend and skated to a 1-2 record against some pretty stiff competition. Lots of ex-pros out there and the Isles held their own! Great job guys!! Congrats to Team Columbia for the win!!
