UNCW’s 2026 season came to a close with a 6-1 setback to top-seeded Hofstra on Friday in the CAA Tournament.

The No. 2 seed UNCW softball team concluded its season with a 6-1 setback to No. 1 seed Hofstra in Friday's first elimination game of the Coastal Athletic Association Championships at Elon's Hunt Softball Park.

Madison Biddle's four hits and career-high-tying five RBI helped the Seahawks advance into Friday with a 1-1 showing in the CAA Tournament on Thursday.

Makayla Huddleston went the distance in an elimination win vs. Stony Brook with a career-high 10 K's.

No. 2 seed UNCW's Madison Biddle fashioned a four-hit, five RBI game to help the Seahawks avoid elimination with a 7-3 win over No. 4 Stony Brook late Friday after UNCW dropped a 9-4 verdict to No. 3 seed Campbell to open the Coastal Athletic Association Championships at Elon's Hunt Softball Park.
