Alumni, friends and family of UDMC!!

UDMC is proud to be participating in UDance 2020!!

UDance is the biggest student run event on Delaware's campus that raises funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer. UDance is partners with The Andrew McDonough B+ Foundation that was started by a father who lost his son, Andrew, to childhood cancer. This foundation provides financial support to families impacted by cancer and also towards finding a cure. Donations are directly used by families in need to get children to their appointments if they lack transportation or even to keep their electricity running in their homes due to financial shortages from costly hospital bills. In 2019, UD proudly raised over $2.25 million dollars in the help to fight and end childhood cancer.

We, as a team, have set a challenging fundraising goal for ourselves. Please consider donating to our team page. Every dollar counts!!

It’s been a great week to be a Blue Hen!

This past week, our very own Chuck Crawford was presented a Wilmington Award by Mayor Mike Purzycki in the category of Athletics. Mayor Purzycki recognized Coach Crawford “For his lifetime achievements in coaching the sport of rowing and for the vibrancy he has brought to the Christina River in the city of Wilmington.” Along with founding UDMC in 1991, Chuck is also a co-founder, along with Gordon and Faith Pizor, of the Wilmington Youth Rowing Association.

ALUMNI UPDATE- Get a foursome together and join us on September 29th at Deerfield Golf Club for the 3rd Annual Golf Outing to support the UD Men’s Crew Team!

Join us for the 3rd UDMCAA Golf Outing! The golf outing will kick off with a complimentary breakfast at 7:30 a.m. with a 9:00 a.m. tee time. Grab three rowers, alumni friends, family members, or golf buddies and bring them down for a fun and festive day on the golf course.

International Racing update:

PanAmerican Games: Jim McCullough ‘19 and Cooper Hurley ‘18 just miss a trip to the A-Final of the LM2x. They will race the B-Final on Friday.

Junior World Championships: Gil Dexter ‘23 will race the rep of the JM2x on Thursday.

Cooper Hurley ‘18 and Jim McCullough ‘19 have touched down in Lima, Peru and are ready to represent the US in the LM2x at the 2019 PanAmerican Games!

They kickoff racing TUESDAY at 11 A.M.

Collin Hay is on fire 🔥

The USA LM2- took second place in their repechage advancing them to the A FINAL of the World Rowing u23 Championships. They will be going for gold on Saturday at 11:00 A.M.
