John Mendez PONY Baseball

Located in the heart of Wilmington California, John Mendez baseball Park has been a staple in the community for more than 50+ years. Originally named Gibson park in the early 60's, the rich history that is Baseball always had a special connection with the city of Wilmington. Baseball has always been the go to sport that united family's to loving the game and it's values.

Keeping with tradition we bring you now to the present and the now named John Mendez Baseball park this is the home of many new and talented up and coming young All-Stars. We take pride in our community and we will never turn away any child. We are a park that thrives on teaching and nurturing our children so they can build character and passion in anything they apply them selves to.

The time has come to recognize some of the best talent our league has to offer! Congratulations to all of our players who have earned the honor of being selected as a 2026 All-Star.

Your hard work, dedication, sportsmanship, and commitment throughout the season have not gone unnoticed. This achievement is a reflection of the countless hours spent practicing, competing, and giving your all for your team.

Being selected as an All-Star is more than just a title, it’s an opportunity to represent our league, compete at the next level, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We are proud of each and every one of you and can’t wait to watch you represent Wilmington Pony Baseball with pride, heart, and determination.

Today we celebrate an incredible group of young athletes as they close out their Pony Baseball journey and take the next step into high school.

Thank you for the memories, the hard work, the dedication, and the countless hours spent representing our league on and off the field. Watching you grow as players, teammates, and young men has been an honor.

As you move on to high school baseball and new opportunities, remember that the lessons learned on this field—teamwork, perseverance, sportsmanship, and heart—will stay with you long after the final out.

We are proud of each and every one of you and can’t wait to see what the future holds.

As our Spring season comes to an end, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible board members who dedicated countless hours behind the scenes to help make this season possible. ⚾️❤️

From long days at the park, field prep, snack bar shifts, organizing events, handling schedules, answering messages, and everything in between, your volunteer time and commitment do not go unnoticed.

Although not every board member was able to make it for picture day, please know your hard work, dedication, and support throughout the season never go unnoticed. Wilmington Pony Baseball runs because of people willing to give their time for the kids and our community.

Thank you all for everything you do for our players, families, and league. We appreciate you more than words can express. 👏⚾️❤️
